having Bengals fans sympathy if we go 0-6

Yes, they hate the Colts, and they will be sympathetic, except for my buddies who are Bengals fans. My phone will be off all day Sunday...

Having an unemployed David Garrard turn down your offer to be your starting cornerback when he is looking for a job?

Having David Garrard play cornerback for us ...... as if we're not bad enough in the secondary as it is.

Believing all these years that our defense was "built to play with a lead". Can we finally RE-build now? Time is running short on the Manning Years.

Lots of stuff...

Being a crack *.

Being Canadian.

Being the lady who got her face eaten by Travis the chimp.

Being the new leader of Al Qaeda.

Being Jacob Lacey's future in the NFL.

Being a Michael Bay movie.

Being a hot chick around Ben Roethlisberger.

It's actually pertty nice being Canadian. Lots crystal clear water, mountians, forests, low crime rates, international travel is a breeze, solid educational and health care systems, we know how to party up here. Never been to the States yet but I was planning a trip to Indy this year to see Manning live. That trip has since been cancelled :whew:

Catching the early flight home from San Diego and seeing a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a magic show ready to double team your girlfriend.....

being 18-1 and only losing the Super Bowl.

This one gets my vote. Keep in mind--the Colts would have been in the same boat two years ago had they taken the non-Caldwell approach and played through the season. We made it to the Super Bowl, only to have our hopes dashed by an * named Hank Baskett. I hope his trashbag wife can keep them afloat, because his NFL career sure won't.

Being out hunting in the snow for 6 days. Getting skunked. Driving down the road out, seeing two monster bucks and shooting the 3 point that was with them because I seriously screwed up! Then getting home and hearing the colts lost... AGAIN!!!

Jeez we need to win a few. I'm seeing people say that we are cheating for tanking, I don't think we are tanking, and we are put in the same category as spygate.

    • I'm not necessarily supporting the decision, but there's some logic behind it. We've seen multiple successful hail mary attempts this season already. We've never seen a successful 68 yard FG.   Also, we're really talking about one play, not the entire possession. The Colts didn't play hail mary prevent from the beginning, they gradually moved back on each play. The first play was deflected and almost intercepted because the second level was only about 10 yards back. And on the last pass play, the coaches were signaling the defenders to move up, recognizing that the Pats weren't just going to throw the hail mary. Still too passive and conservative IMO, and Maye had options on every play that might have yielded more yards.   I question whether the Pats entire plan was to get into FG range. I think it's possible they adjusted to the Colts defense on each play. Even if they were playing for the FG from the beginning, I think they obviously wanted more than 20 yards. Slye's career long is 63 yards, in much better conditions. They probably wanted 25+, given the 30 degree weather. I think Tice's criticism is a little harsh because a) the Colts weren't playing hail mary prevent for the entire possession, so it's not like they ignored the possibility of the Pats trying to gain 25 yards from the beginning; and b) the defense adjusted on each play. Finishing with a record length FG attempt isn't totally egregious.    Side point: I bet if we had a list of historical FG kickers' career bests, a good number of them are vs the Colts. Career high, playoff career high, career high game winner, etc. Kickers seem to show out vs the Colts. Part of that is probably playing in a dome, but I don't know how to explain a kick that would have been good from 64/65 yards, in 30 degree weather in Foxborough.
    • There was almost 3. At end of game Juedy ran down the Denver player to stop a third.
