NewColtsFan
.... that's what The Man himself says today in the IndyStar.... http://www.indystar.com/article/20130320/SPORTS03/303200055/1058/SPORTS03 Says the player the Colts are trying for is a veteran free agent and not a trade target. There are names tossed about by the writer, but those are speculation.... Irsay also says he likes the WR's on the team... He's not sure Hilton is a #2 yet, he'd like to see Brazil work harder, and that Whalen is more than a FA, thinks he might be 'special'.... It's worth a few minutes of your time to read.... Enjoy! chad72
this was posted in the mega thread I do sympathize the ones that have to dig through 70 pages to find that info though. So, here is one that appreciates that concise info.
throwing BBZ
The best FA left is Collie. Darn shame isn`t it? :throwback: Wait for trade opportunities, Draft one or wait till June 1st cuts This lets everyone, including players that might ask for a trade, there is a BUYER out there. Come on Maclin speak up!

MarquisJ
Brandon Lloyd, Darius Heyward-Bey, and Laurent Robinson are probably one of the WR we are looking at maybe even Randy Moss...

chad72
Who are the likely suspects? Big name FA WRs left? To me, Randy Moss, Devery Henderson, Brandon Lloyd, Joshua Cribbs, Braylon Edwards lead the vet WR category. But the one most likely to take a lot of time signing on the dotted line, if I had to guess, would be Randy Moss.

Superman
Aww geez... That's better than giving up a pick for someone, but I'm not very excited about anyone that's out there in free agency right now.

Superman
i want DHB Honest question: Why? Sell us on DHB in our offense.
IndyColtScout
I too think DHB would be ok. He's young w/ speed. He always played with junk QBs. A change of scenery could help him blossom. If he doesn't, send him packing. And I've never heard of him being a bad teammate like Titus.

colts_100nascar17fan
cruz would be ok but pricey, dhb is the best cuz his age size n price and most upside with a new team, maybe edlemann cuz of his punt return ability, the rest are old or under performed and not reliable.imo

TKnight24
Seriously people, Heyward-Bey is GARBAGE! If we wanted a fast WR with poor hands, we might as well kept Avery
Mameluc
I think the trade went downt he drain and he just trying to save face.. i mean seriously what FA WR is a whoper? im not mad btw i didnt want to use our only pick in the 1st 2 rounds
IndyColtScout
Avery's best year is worse than DHB best year & Avery was playing w/ a better QB & overall offense/coaches. DHB isn't perfect but his size/speed is interesting w/ a change of scenery.

colts_100nascar17fan
no not at all on that crap team he was on that never had a quarterback that was good enuff. (jamarcus russell, palmer, plus hand full of other scubs the raiders had in between-he never had a chance like other raiders players!you don't think dhb under achieved? (jamarcus russell, palmer, plus hand full of other scubs the raiders had in between-he never had a chance like other raiders players!D. Moore is doing well on the Raiders. The team has nothing to do with it. They have no WR's & Heyward-Bey got cut, he's just not good. It's really nothing else to say about it. If we bring him here, he's gonna be the same person then all year everyone is gonna complain about him constantly dropping passes. I'd rather take a WR from this draft

BOTT
I'd rather draft one than pick from that list. Nobody on that list would make the colts cross off WR from their draft targets
Superman
For where he was drafted, but that's On Al Davis Yes it is. DHB should have been a second rounder, drafted after Crabtree and Maclin. And everyone knew it at the time.
Dustin
Robinson seems like a solid option as well. He was pretty good in Dallas. I'm not sure how he played in Jacksonville.
SilentHill
It was most likely Kevin Walter, in which case I'm glad it fell through.
