Colts signed RB/KR Jeff Demps to a reserve/future contract.

Demps, who won a silver medal on the American 4×100-meter relay team in the 2012 Olympics, will compete for a spot on the Colts' special teams unit next season

I am skeptical of pick ups right now. 99% of them end up being camp bodies.

If Demps can make it stick good for him but I wouldn't automatically write off Cribbs nor would I be shocked if he does wind up gone.

I was a Cribbs fan all the way up to that fumble. I tried supporting him as much as possible.

Cribbs is a good returner. Just not a smart one. Doesn't know when to fair catch, and doesn't know when to take a knee.

Bingo BQE, he always feels compelled to take it to the house without grasping game situations or the value of decent field position on the 20. A touch back is often a good thing in the endzone. 

 

Just because you can hit the afterburners, it doesn't mean you always should. Give your QB a decent shot to avoid a safety by thinking smart. Well said.

If Demps had competed in the combine in 2012, he would most certainly have broken the all-time 40 record.

I cheered for Cribbs but I'm pretty so so on him right now.  He seems to be a bit washed up, and I wonder where his mental state is with all of the really hard shots he takes.
