I'd say he and Boom are on the team or PS in September. I'm rooting for Boom. I've never seen Tipton play, but I know Boom has seen good competition and done well.

Have you seen him play yet? I haven't, so I'm not too excited about him. I think we'll keep 3 RBs and a FB.

As for stealing him off our PS, that's silly. UDFA RBs are a dime a dozen. There are at least ten veteran RBs that won't be on teams when the season starts. The "Help!" list will start with them if a team needs a RB, not a rookie with no NFL experience.

Got it. My point was that 3rd string RBs are easy to find. Some people thought Kerwynn Williams impressed in the preseason. He was on our PS and it wasn't until we released him that SD signed him to their PS.

It's pretty rare that a team will sacrifice a roster spot for an unknown RB (or even a WR) off of someone else's PS. Usually it's linemen that get snatched.

Again, I haven't seen him play. I really don't know if he's even NFL material. I'm pretty sure Boom is though.

But yeah I don't care who the 3rd-4th string RB's are although the lineup for 3rd RB is Boom's job to lose since he knows the playbook more than the other other RB's behind him. But RB's are a dime a dozen now and I don't think many of us would feel confident heading into a game with just Richardson & Boom as the only active guys if Bradshaw went down

I don't recall that. I remember seeing him in the preseason and thinking he looked stiff in his routes, especially compared to Garçon at the time. He was a pretty good ST guy but couldn't stay healthy.

And this is coming from a Buckeye.

In his draft profile it mentioned that he runs tall and leaves himself susceptible to injury. He missed a large portion of his senior year due to a broken ankle and has a history of injuries dating back to high school...... He should fit right in with our running backs.

He got smacked around pretty good at practice tonight. Toward the end, he got the business from Andrew Jackson, and earlier on, he lost his helmet in a collision. But he handed out some punishment of his own as well. Sounds like a very physical runner.

I kinda like him a bit...Though I think there are better players on the market, Has some power obviously but far from dominant, Does not have a lot of speed the best I can see though did run for an 80 yard td vs Eastern Michigan but the tackling on that run was one of....if not the worst I have seen at just about any level of football........Sounds like a huge overstatement...But it was truly awful, Is patient with cutback lanes and waits for the hole to open, Carries the ball well from what I have seen (recorded a couple games on DVR during the season and watched Draftbreakdown) ...He looks to be a little shifty, Just all my opinions of course

My wife went to the University of North Florida and their mascot is the Ospreys and the name of their mascot that walks around during games is "Swoop" and they even have some little cheer called the swoop.  

 

All of this is funny that my wife knows this because she told me she never went to any games.

I'm sure he was joking. How can anyone compare him to a pro player until they see him play against pro players?

If you said he reminded you of Morris when he was in college, I'd get it. They both played against poor competition and excelled. Morris showed he could play with the big boys. That's where it ends.
