You can't have it both ways and blame all the bad on the scheme/play calling and put the good down to the players.

Well you can because turnovers like the punch has very little to do with the play call and more with the individual player, Leonard would be doing that punch if he was here or seattle (as long as it's a zone system.) it has nothing to do with the play call

Yet still weirdly middle of the pack in terms of the numbers given up.

I didn't realise actually how good the run D had been till I checked DVOA.

Pass D has given up the 2nd most TDs in the league, and I think we're near the worst in passer rating allowed. That's just horrible to me lol.. The YPG allowed is like 20th I think.

Run D has been our saving grace along with forced fumbles.

True, but coaching will have an influence in that. Though most will obviously coach these days to be aggressive in going for the punch out over wrapping up.

How do you square our very good run D? Is that just individual performance too?

I won't blame it on injuries, but I would have liked to see how it looked without losing anyone resembling a safety.

I agree too with the gripe about not dialling up closer coverage. It's not just about say playing man all the time, but the cushions we show sometimes is way too conservative.
