Well it could be Peyton but it might not be. I am not sure if Peyton would be throwing in full pads or not. It could be a Duke kid throwing however the leg kick looked a lot like Peyton's follow threw on passes. I don't know if you can say it's for sure Peyton but you can't rule it out that it is him that's for sure.

I definitely noticed the kick, it also seems like Manning's extremely quick release.

Well, IMO it is obviously Peyton (not sure how ANYONE familiar with the Colts doesn't instantly recognize Peyton's mannerisms/body-language). And it appears to be Duke's practice field.

Seeing this video is very encouraging. I'm liking the scenario where a rested and ticked off Manning returns. And I am really going to enjoy watching Florio, Shefter, Mortenson, King and "Noodle Arm" backtrack from their "Manning is gone" mantra.

Yeah, it's him. on the second throw, you can see his left knee is protected with something. Oh, and the happy feet, the kick, the follow through, and the weather.

Please don't refer to his technique as happy feet. He pumps his feet so he can throw at moment's notice. Mike VIck has "happy feet" when he panics and bails out on a pass and turns to run. Spurrier coined that term incorrectly when Manning was at UT.

It's just nails on a chalkboard.

I know that. He's always on the balls of his feet. It isn't meant to be derogatory. At least not from me. I've had the same argument you made with drunk Raiders fans.. it doesn't go over the same!

I listened.....I am sure I hear Peyton's drawl in the background. The follow through is Manning.....I have to say it is hokie to be videotaping through a board in the fence. But turn up your sound....listen for Mannings voice we have heard so many times at the line of scrimmage.

Among those who have joined Manning in Durham, NC, include Colts teammates Dallas Clark and Austin Collie, as well as former teammate Brandon Stokley, sources said.

Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning took another positive step forward in his recovery from neck surgery on Friday, conducting an aggressive throwing session in his Colts helmet, shoulder pads and jersey at Duke University, a source at the workout told ESPN.

independently verified as authentic, making apparent encouraging progress in his recovery from the surgery that sidelined him for the 2011 season. The session comes as a deadline approaches for the Colts' decision to exercise a $28 million option on March 8.

Manning can be seen completing passes in the video posted by a user who had access to a videotaped portion of the session near the Duke practice field.

Sources at Duke and close to Manning confirm he has been conducting aggressive throwing sessions in shoulder pads and helmet since Tuesday at Duke, where his former University of Tennessee offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe is now the head coach. It is Manning's second trip to work under the supervision of Cutcliffe.

Agreed

If you watch about ten seconds in after he throws a deep pattern the way that man is walking back to the line. if it's not Peyton then someone is a very good impersonator

That is definitely him with the closer view. This is encouraging, but as I keep saying...now it is March 3 and he is at Duke...not here. Hope you are feeliing better.

Thats him and he is looking good.

Peyton - Just get out of Colts and win SB somewhere. If Irsay wanted you back, he would have atleast consulted you not kept you in dark. Matter of fact, even Andrew Luck is available coz of you ( as you didnt play ). This team is the same yucky in all departments.

Houston or Chiefs.

I hope this is Peyton and he is really doing better, but it really don't change a thing. I mean does anybody honestly believe Irsay is all of a sudden gonna write up a 28 million dollar check now because some goofball filmed Manning throw a whopping 4 passes through a hole in a wall from 75 yds away?

It's nice for us fans to see. As for Irsay, his franchises immediate success hinges on signing Peyton. A man whom many had wondered if he could ever throw a strong ball again. Apparently he can.

...and why is this camera operator a "goofball"? He accomplished what tens of thousands of the media army couldn't.

    • Roger's could get turned but catch back up before the ball got there.   I was rooting for Flowers especially because up he did run I n the 4.3s.  It is so sad that "intelligent" posters here post endless endlessly that in Gus's D our corners don't need speed.   With two deep safeties any good QB will pick it apart with current rules. Playing single high when they stack receivers the CB on the opposite side is really playing regular old everyday man. Per Pro football Reference Gus" played man 28% of the time. What kind of madness is it to put a 6'2" CB that ran a 4.57 on ANY of the Many 4.3's WR's? This is your plan?
    • I think what happened is Ballard had a list of 3-4 guys he was willing to take on the trade-down. Mitchell was on top of his list. He might have thought because of the rumors of character concerns and poor work ethic that he may fall to 52, and he had a few backup options on top of his board behind him he was fine with. It was probably worth the gamble to Ballard to get two extra 5th round picks since we only had 7 picks at the time and Ballard likes to build through the draft.
    • This was my point that I posted not long after AD was selected. Many have said and are still saying that Ballard was a genius that figured out the 6 picks that followed him trading back in round 2. There's no was Ballard said something like "wow , I can't believe this guy fell to us ." I could take him here but , I know he's not going to be selected in the next 6 picks , so I'll trade back." It's way more likely that he trades up 4-5 spots if he valued AD that much  more than the other players at the top of his board.  I think Ballard did a really good job in this draft but there's no way in heck , he traded back with certainty that AD would be there at 52.
    • Wow!    You're on fire today.   Post after post that are classically you.  Only you have these views.   That’s why these posts are so easy to remember for years.   I’m struggling to find anything to agree with.   Not that you’d care what my opinion is.  I just couldn’t help but finally respond today.   Sorry.
    • Great interview!!   Both the Colts 1st round and 2nd round picks fell right in to their laps!!   Preparation + luck are equal parts of the equation!!
