Well....looking forward to watching Hassan tonight!  I hope that the rest of you are as pumped as me?  The regular season can't start quick enough and I believe we have more talent on defense than some in the media want to accept...albeit young.

Yeah I wonder if Ridgeway does well enough, could he win a permanent starting job. We've got injuries and a suspension on the line, Anderson is a guaranteed starter when he's healthy. I wonder if Ridgeway is hot, if they'll keep him starting even once Langford and Jones are back.

I disagree about who the guaranteed starter is. I don't think any of the younger guys overtake Langford. What if Ridgeway were to bump over parry? ;)

That's fine. But it is not your call to dictate what the rest of us talk about. I suggest you read and comprehend the rules. Just because someone makes a comment that is not directly related to the thread it is not your place to chastise and or whine about it. No one is forcing you to read and or reply to anything said. We have members who have been in this forum for years and we do just fine without you coming in here making up your own rules on what is said.

Hassan Played well. I'm looking forward to more time. I think TY Mcgill, Hassan, and Kerr are the best trio for the Dline. Megget is an up and coming force.

That being said Ridgeway put together a nice game against Baltimore.  It's no surprise that Anderson is ready to start practicing again, he see the competition now.

Not necessarily.  Anderson was great against the run, but didn't really show much as a pass rusher.  If Ridgeway can show he can do both then I could see him wind up getting more playing time than Anderson.  Now, it's also entirely possible that Anderson improves as an interior pass rusher, and hopefully he does.  The more 3 down players we have on defense the better.

No chance. Henry will come off the field when he needs a breather, otherwise he'll be in the game. He's going to be a very good pass rusher in this league and, for a rookie, he pushed the pocket quite well last year prior to being derailed by injury.

I believe Henry Anderson had high marks in College when it came to getting pressures on the QB.  He was a rookie last year so you expect a learning curve.  Should get better as we go along.

It shouldn't have to be. As of now, the two are worlds apart and I don't see them ever being that close. With that said, I look (hope) for Ridgeway to be a pretty good player.

With Anderson we need to slow down a little.  He was great last season as a rookie, but let's not forget he has had a MAJOR injury and surgery and rehab.  Who's to say he will be the same guy when he gets back?  Heck, he could even be better with a year under his belt?  One never knows.  I hope Ridgeway works out though cause you can never have enough guys who can pressure a QB up the middle.  The more the merrier!

Anderson will come off the field when the coaches tell him to come off the field.  And if the coaches feel they can give him more breathers with little to no drop in effectiveness at the position they will.  And if they feel Ridgeway gives them that ability then they will do that.

 

Hence, Anderson wanting to get on the field, he wants to show the team that there is a wide enough gap between him and the competition so they don't think about doing that.
