Colts Vs. New York Jets Monday Night Football Game Thread

Recommended Posts

No doubt...you know it's coming. We will see what this team is made of in the next few weeks. This could get real ugly fast.

Yeah it really could, this offense looks absolutely terrible.  The D on the other hand looks ok.  The fact that the O hasn't even performed to a top 15 O is something to worry about.  I do fully expect the Colts to take advantage of a weak D, but yet the O will still continue to get smashed against even a moderately capable D.  I don't want to watch the Steelers game thus far.

Pagano doesn't have the guys prepared.  Grigson hasn't brought in enough talent.  Both guys need to go

If Grigson is the one that brought in Pep, then it is Pep and Grigson that are responsible for the poor offensive performance. I don't blame Pagano if he did not want to hire Pep.

True on Pagano and I'd lump Pep as well as he needs to step in and take the offense away from Luck and get the TEs involved.

I don't agree on Grigson as I see him starting to trend positive. A GM is based on upgrading weaknesses on the team where talent is deprived. For example Pollan for 6 years had the exact same weaknesses on his team and failed to fix. Grigs has had 4 and seems to have finally fixed the defensive line and DB. He also has put talent into the Oline. People love to pointment to the fortress of Brady as the measuring stick to oline success and yet people don't see that they often start undrained lineman. Coaching is more important with the line. And Indy's current Oline actually has quite a bit of talent.

Wow. Leave these forums and never return

You need to ban fans like him and the other guy cheering the injury.

Need to do something to shake up the team.

We are looking like a non-playoff team...probably sneak in because of the week div but we are not going far...likely one and done.

Well, are we really that bad of a team, or just so devoid of talent?  I wish I knew, I'm at a loss for words after tonite's game.

I jumped on it after last season.

You cannot continually get blown out by good teams and not have your job on the line.

The problem is it's nearly impossible right now to fire him without throwing in the the towel on the season.

Could Thornton or even Goode be any worse than Lance Louis, This team will never win a Super Bowl with Chuck Pagano. The Colts have had the success they have had in spite of Pagano. Win or lose we get out coached every single week. Andrew Luck played like crap and he has regressed, and that is to be expected, the O-line is horrible and you can not expect a QB to get better when his beatings get worse each and every year. This is not like last years 0-2 start. This team has big problems, they are not close to being competitive, the QB is shell shocked and the head coach and O-coordinator are way over their head. The only good that will come out of this season is, we will not have to suffer another season of Pagano. Why would any fan believe this team can compete with any team.

Colts also started their 2014 regular season at 0-2. Their first game on the road to Peyton Manning and the Broncos, and the following Sunday to the Eagles at LOS. Colts should try to win their first game on the road in Nashville with Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans. Colts have a current record of 12-0 against AFC South opponents since 2013 so something to look forward. For now, thank you Colts fans for participating tonight on Monday Night Football, enjoy the rest of your week. See all of you here in the Colts Game Day Forum next Sunday afternoon, when the Colts play the Titans, and GO COLTS!!!!!

    • Reich's offense surpassed all expectations year 1 for me. You need to remember, he still needs to add a ton of pieces and has done one heck of a job only after one offseason. I love how everyone is involved and you never know who's going to have a monster game in this offense. PLUS, Luck's not getting killed!
    • The Colts would be smart to trade Jacoby, but I don't see it happening before the Draft.   - Andrew Luck is healthy. - Jacoby is leaving Indy after next season regardless to be a starter. - Chris Ballard has proven he can draft some gems and I trust him to do the same with the pick we get for Brissett.
    • I was watching some old draft videos regarding the Colts 2018 draft on youtube, and I saw an interesting comment in the comments section.  This is the video first.    In the comments section there is a 3 comment conversation started by Captain Luck. It says:   Captain Luck9 months ago (edited) Harold Landry was red flagged....bet. Josh Jackson was red flagged. Derius Guice was red flagged. Those are my guesses. Ballard went for the best player available with the best leadership and character. That's how the Cubs built it and Ballard is taking that same approach. If nothing else, he wants a locker room he can be proud of even if he's not drafting the guys other teams would based on talent. Exactly what the Pacers did too and look how well that worked out.   Jason Spears9 months ago Justin Pelkey if that's the case, it makes much more sense.   Captain Luck9 months ago Jason Spears I'm not sure but Ballard said that 45 prospects were automatically red flagged due to lack of scheme fit, lack of maturity/character, and injury history. I think that's why some of the picks lool like reaches. He was really strict about the type of player he was letting in the organization. I forget the Cubs GM name, but Ballard read his book last summer. The Cubs GM did the exact same thing. He looked at unique traits but more importantly brought in proven leaders. Ballard appears to be taking the same approach. We'll have to wait and see if it works.   I thought this was very interesting as I'm not sure if he purposely is following the Theo Epstein model or if that's out of coincidence. The most telling thing is that he red flagged 45 prospects due to lack of scheme fit, maturity/character, and injury history. I knew GM's did this to an extent, but Ballard is apparently very picky, to the extent that he just wants certain guys even if he isn't getting value. It's not just about BPA or need with him. It's about getting the exact guys he feels comfortable with at certain positions. I can only imagine how few guys that he's willing to take when it's our pick.    I couldn't find an article saying this info was 100% true, but no one said he was wrong either, and it makes sense. Just thought some people here might think this was interesting regarding Ballard, and it might reveal some of his drafting secrets that we can build mocks off of to emulate him.
    • Great draft, but give some kudos to Frank for the way he bonded the team, created the locker room vibe, and turned them into winners. Great all round job. Hopefully we take the next step next season...
    • Yeah, losing Glenn and Diem really killed us for a long time until we drafted Anthony. We've hadn't had much luck at RT until this past season.
