Most impressive part of the game...besides OL

Laron Landry was actually good today, best game he's played with the Colts. After the one catch to Thomas, he played great coverage on him the rest of the game.

He got torched on the Broncos one TD drive - beat for 30 yards by the TE, beat by Demaryius Thomas for the TD, whiffed on tackling CJ Anderson on 4th down.

Some love for Luck, also. That throw to Fleener up the middle of the field was incredible.

Tremendous throw!    Dropped that down to Coby when it looked like there were three Broncos defenders all around Fleener.

The throw had to be money.     And it was!      Glad you brought this up -- thanks!

Laron got burned on two strat plays including the td, and I'm not surprised. We know he is good at stopping the run for the most part... but is a liability when people are throwing. I trust Sergio more in thos situations. Aside from that the defense desrves credit for such a great game. Vontae especially.

Total team effort thought DQ had a good game but the secondary and tackling were the difference.

Newsome with the splash play and made a couple of good plays vs the run he looks like a steal.

For not having a draft we are sure getting help from young guys. I'd like to see more of Tipton.

I hope I'm not mistaken but I think we got out of another game without injury. As long as we stay healthy on D especially Toler I love our chances

He was pretty solid. I'm still irritated by that missed tackle on 4th and 1…I told my mom after that play that Peyton was going to hit Thomas in the end zone on the very next play. It's always one bad game changing event like that that can be a killer. Luckily, our guys just kept making play after play, tackle after tackle...

I think every DB we have would have been burned on the TD, aside from Vontae. Landry was bad on the JT play. And he was bad on the Anderson 4th down run.

Other than that, I think Landry was okay. He made some good plays in coverage, including stopping a similar out and up from JT later on. He had some sticks after short catches and showed up in the run game. Three really bad plays, though.

    • The Colts handed Taylor a boat load of money which is unheard for a running back in today’s NFL.  You don’t do that and take him off the field in crucial situations for Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.  Shane has done just that in two of the last three games he’s coached.  Not playing maybe your best offensive weapon for a whole fourth quarter is criminal.  Shane is trying to be too cute and over thinking things trying to fool other teams and it’s not working in the slightest.  Play your best players at the most critical points of games.  That’s why you paid them.
    • People come up with the strangest over reactions ever when the Colts lose.
    • I agree 100 Ballard time is up , him and Bradley. You can preach accountability and retain Bradley another year….Ballard loves to say guys just need to hit the layup… he should take his own advice we all knew we needed help in the secondary this year no moves, we all knew we needed help last year at corner , oline year before. I talking about obvious weaknesses media calls him out on it year after year and he plays it off like he smarter than everyone then admit mistakes at the end of year and does the same thing. Bradley doesn’t make any adjustment like he runs what he runs and that it
    • To be honest this is malpractice by Ballard ….. like I know they think us fans are stupid but some of us played sports , coached sports , watched sports etc… we know what we are seeing like everyone knew we needed depth in the second. But Ballard doesn’t bring vets in and makes guys compete for a job he hands them to players he thinks are nice people a deserve a shot. Ala Pinter, NFL is a league where you get what you earn ,you eat what you kill , not what you deserve. Ballard need to take a hard look at him self at look at how other teams that win are built. We need speed at the corner position and a scheme shift. Like no HC under Ballard has been able to pick they DC he normally has one before they get hired and they retain Ballard guy
