Sorry, I could not care less being I have better things to do than being possessed by a game. Some people are so wrapped up in their video games they suffer in other ways.

So why comment? Lol.

"I'm commenting just to tell you how much I don't care about this subject"

And many people play videogames for enjoyment and still, shockingly, lead great lives.

If you get "possessed by a game", you have bigger problems than playing video games.

Very true but there is a whole bunch who don't just play for the enjoyment of the games. To some it does get to be an addiction. I know of 3 just in my family who are possessed with being on line playing their fake lives. If you don't fall into that realm then just overlook my comment. For those who do fall into that realm then try to find something more in the lines of reality. If my comment hit a nerve on someone maybe they are the ones who need the reality check.

It was just a very stupid and irrelevant point for you to make. This thread is about a Colts player possibly being on the cover of Madden. No one gives a damn that you don't play video games because you're scared they will possess you.

The thread was about the cover of a video game. I made a general statement on my feeling about those games. I did not insult you or anyone else. Now how stupid is it for you to put words and your thought into my comment? Scared? Your a joke.

You come into a thread discussing votes about a cover to a video game and decide it was an appropriate forum to voice your "old timer", "I'm superior", and erroneous point of view "I have better things to do than being possessed by a game". Better things like: Arguing with some one on an internet forum at 2 am lmao.

Sof if you could not care less, does that mean you care more?

To be honest though, I get what your saying about addiction but your general comment comes off as brash, snarky and as a person who enjoys video games immensely and has seen first hand what addictions can do to people, I would say that this is the wrong thread, forum for that topic.

Back to the topic at hand:

Curses only matter when it involves anything Boston/New England :applause:

Luck all day, i'm votin tomorrow.

You are pretty good at adding your own little twist into you apparent lack of comprehension. 'old timer' and I'm superior" is just plane ignorant for you to come up with. I was not arguing with no one. It was you who started the insults. The only conclusion is you could be one of those additive game players I was referring to. I seem to have hit a nerve there somewhere. The only thing here that is erroneous here is your inability to accept a point of view that has merit.

A lot of people get possessed by alcohol . . . but that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy it responsibly.

A lot of people get possessed by gambling. . . but that doesn't mean that buying a lotto ticket is going to ruin you.

And I say those things as someone who A. Has never been drunk although I will drink on occasion when my wife isn't pregnant. (I stop drinking when she's pregnant because she's not allowed to drink and I want to support her.) and B. Has not gambled a dime since buying a scratch off ticket on my 18th birthday and winning $5.  I'll be 32 in July so its been a while...  (And by that I mean I've never made a monetary bet with someone, I've never bet on a sports game, I've never played any games at a casino, I've never played poker with real money, not even pennies, and I've never bought a lotto ticket for myself.)

And for the record I used to play video games in my free time up until about 10 months ago when my first child was born.  Havn't had time since then.

Your statement was a statement of superiority, "looking down your nose", that was completely irrelevant to this topic. That's how I read it and judging from other responses that's how others read it as well. This thread is about a Colts player possibly being on the cover of a video game, not your narrow minded view on video games. If you read the rest of the posts prior to yours, not one brought up their feelings on video games. You came in here with your own objective.

I very much enjoy video games but am certainly not "possessed". By the way no one has ever been "possessed" by video games. Addicted? Sure (Hello, Quinn Pitcock). Possessed? No.

And just because I severely disagree with your ignorant comment does not mean it applies to me.

You guys are voting against Luck, over superstitions? Comon man!

Madden likes to put RBs on the cover, guess what the most injured position in football is?

You might wanna do some research. Look up all the QBs that have been on the cover, and then tell me you want Luck to be one of them.

Off the top of my head; Drew Brees, Brett Favre, and Vince Young. Favre and Brees didn't get hurt when they were on the cover to my knowledge. Vince Young just sucked because he was lazy, dumb, and just a bad QB (before and after the cover). I don't think he got hurt, either.

Edit: Looked it up, Favre and Young did get hurt. Drew Brees had a slightly down year statistical but nothing crazy.

Sounds like you are a very smart person. You chose your priorities over gaming. I just made a simple opinionated comment about the pitfalls of people who are gaming junkies. Some took it as a personal attack when it was a general comment. Sorry if you thought my comment was directed at you on a personal level.

I will never understand posters who come into a thread where they have no reason to be in it.  If you do not like videogames or feel you have better things to do then why bother going into a thread that will obviously have people who like videogames discussing who should be on the cover.  I guess some people just like to troll online.

No where in my comment was any superiority or looking down at anyone. I explained why I made the comment and that is it. There are quite a few time where the subject of a threats gets sidetracked and no one gets bent out of shape. Instead of a simple comment about staying on subject you took the opportunity to make it personal and then passed out the insults. Being a gaming junkie is a real thing. If by me making that comment you take offense I couldn't care less. Sorry you got your panties in a bunch.

Gentlemen, we are all Colts fans here. We all pull on that blue jersey on Sundays and we all want another banner in Lucas Oil Stadium. Save the hate for the Texans...

Putting on a blue jersey is for bandwagon fans.  I make myself on Madden and put myself on the Colts with 99 ratings on everything.  I'm the QB, LB, Punter, and Kicker, just to name a few.  Of course I don't have any punting stats because I score TDs every drive.  My kicking stats are bad, too.  I have no field goals and a 13 yard kick average because I always go onside and recover the kick myself.  It's just because I'm so hard I score every single time.  Sometimes I like to switch it up and be an DE for kicks just until I get enough sacks in one or two games so I'm the sack leader at the end of the season.

Put on blue jerseys?!  BAA HAHAHA.  Weak sauce.

Your comment is like me, who doesn't drink, walking into a bar, getting everyone's attention, and announcing, "I don't drink because I have better things to do than to get possessed by alcohol". Whether you see it or not it rings of "I'm superior" or perhaps it's just your condescending way of telling us you're to weak to play a video game without becoming addicted.
