  1. He looks like a jellied out Glen Campbell. Probably heading down the same road. Everyone judges. Don't be a Woke fool.
  2. If you got saddled with Brisset as your qb, would you not be disappointed. and then keep him for 2 more years after that. It could be more years than that, but I wish to forget that era.
  3. No body on the Colts draft board has any bearing what so ever to other teams.
  4. Worrying about 1st round picks seems to be irrelevant when it comes to Ballard's draft style. He never gets the best player available. He might as well trade back for more pics. Why shop at Tiffany's when you can get more stuff at Walmart. Colts will always remain mediocre with this type of thinking. Don't give me the whole AR was a great pic. I'm a Florida gator fan. We all know he wasn't the best QB for the gators either.
  5. Johnny Unitas , Bert Jones , Jim Harbough , Peyton Manning , Andrew Luck . I have had the pleasure of meeting these men on and off the field. The bar has always been set pretty high when it comes to playing quarterback for the Colts. Since Luck's retirement getting excited about who is next up has been lack luster at best. I'm getting too old to hold out hope for another great signal caller. You only catch lightning in a bottle so many times in a lifetime. People say the game is changing, the quarterback has to be a runner. Yes the game has changed. The defenders are over 300 pounds and can and will run you down in a foot race. Pocket passers have long careers for the most part. Running Qb's average less than 5 good years at best. Bert Jones and Andrew Luck were tough guys but paid the price.
  6. Me too. He just doesn't scare defenses one bit. Too me he is middle of the road player. He should be used in the slot and be a possession receiver. A number 2. They have never replaced T.Y. If you give him a payday, make it reflect his ceiling, not the fact he is the best on this team.
  7. you know what is worst? NFL starting to limit viewership by making huge money on streaming apps. Im for anybody making money on their investments. I have been telling my wife that the NFL is heading to pay per view ie. 39.95 for a single game. I had the Sunday ticket for 16 years. I figured paying 300 plus dollars a year was a lot cheaper than watching at a bar and spending 50-100 dollars on barfood and drink. We got to see Peyton and the crew for many years except when they played Jacksonville who could not sell out. Being in the Jacksonville area, the games were blacked out. Now the package cost around 400-500 dollars. If your team is successful, Monday,Thursday and Saturday games will not be on the expensive package. To add to all of this, Youtube has to be streamed. With streaming comes annoying buffering and technical problems. In sixteen years with satellite coverage, We never missed a moment, even during September,October and November hurricanes. The designation of the first playoff game to be streaming only was chosen to be the Kansas City game by design to show how many people will watch so they can push for more of the same thing. With the onboarding of the "swifty's to see their God child one more time, there will be undoubtably a surge in viewership. Soory for the long rant. There was a time a working man could look forward to a game Monday nite, have a few cheap beers and not have a cable bill, a streaming bill or send more money to Bezos to line his pockets while he gives out 10 dollar Amazon gift cards to his employees for Christmas bonuses. We got to see one Colts game this year with the Texans. I guess this will be the new norm here on out. My brother has a large farm outside Indy. Maybe we will catch some live games next year if he doesn't put us to work first.
  8. you can't protect a run first qb that will not avoid the punishment.
  9. Brisset sucked years ago. If AR plays in any way similar to that, he will need to go also. If the head coach can't plan game plans around two different signal callers, then he will need to go too. Jezz, can't anyone expect more from a team? 😱
  10. I don't believe this is crap. He appeared in 5 games I do believe. How many of these games did he finish under center? If the coaching staff continues to have him used as a runner, he will get hurt. He is not alusive. He is a big target. How many times has the ravens missed their signal caller by the end of the year? Maybe the word injury prone bothers you. Let's change the name to reckless use of company property. Either way, its all the same.
  11. This is a good explanation of what was going on. My question is, If you're successful running outside one week. why can't you try again until you can't? What ever happened to the stretch play used for edgerrin James? The Colts seem to run the most predictable offense in the league.
  12. you keep mentioning "franchise QB". The Colts have not had a franchise QB since Andrew luck. AR will be a rookie again next year. Do you realize he was labeled a "project" when drafted. He only started 10 games in college. He should not have been drafted in any round at all. It would be awfully nice if it works out but, one should not hold their breath. Seeing how much time was waisted on Qb's since Luck left, specifically Brisset, I can see the current situation going right up to the 2028 season before they throw in the towel.
  13. I did not see the game due to my refusal to pay the NFL for all the ways to watch these days. So, being a fan, I look through the post game chatter to see what went right or wrong. What I gather from this forum is when the Colts win, all is good and they are playoff bound. When they loose, they really suck. My take after reading today's comments is the Colts lack the talent at many positions to compete consistently week in and week out. Get owned by the Bengals, beat the Steelers then look this bad against the Falcons. Maybe the Colts have had a soft schedule and never should have 8 wins to begin with. First thing - the offensive line is not worth the money spent. Big q has a bad back. he is done .they need to retool. Second thing - you can't run and pass with the line they have. Third - one poster mentioned "all the players on both sides of the ball look or play the same", there are no exceptional players on the roster. The franchise QB is not on the roster at this time. The Colts will be drafting 15 - 20 this next year. Ballard will be trading back for more picks and there will be no money spent on free agency. Richardson will be running for his life for the next 4 or 5 years.
  14. I believe Pierce has all the tools to be a very good if not great receiver in the near future. I did not know Minshew could not throw deep. I'm not convinced Richardson will play enough or have the accuracy to hit wideouts consistently. It will be sad if he never gets the opportunity to play with a good QB in indy. People that watched Richardson play in Gainesville were shocked he was drafted in the first round. I hope he pans out.
  15. He will probably be just like all the other running qb's. He will win a few games a year, just enough to miss the first 15 picks in every draft, and will have the fans every year wanting to see more. Welcome to mediocrity! You better sign minshew to a long term deal quickly!
