Someone posted about a cloumnist doing this to predict W-L records in the AFC South. Lets have some fun and make haikus about the game this sunday. No holds barred!!!

For anyone who might not know a haiku has three lines and does not need to rhyme. First line is 5 syllables. Second line is 7 syllables. Third line is 5 syllables. Here is an example:

This is a haiku

It is a real good haiku

So there you have it

Annnnnnnd................... GO!

Urlacher's slow knee won't let him sprint with glee.

His diminished speed will let Luck run free.

To throw a game winning TD to Reggie Wayne for all to see.

This is free verse, dude

Haiku's do not have to rhyme

Count your syllables.

Haiku [Noun]: a form of Japanese poetry with 17 syllables in 3 unrhymed lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, often describing nature or a season.SW1 tried and failed miserably to use a haiku the first time around. I have no desire to continue this exercise in futility.

I know when I have met my match or achilles heel.

To quote Clint Eastwood, "A man's got to know his limitations." Good Bye all and have a pleasant evening. Sayonara in Japanese and Dah svee-dah-nee-yah in Russian.

This in not haiku

Again, this is not haiku

Soooo not a haiku

Right you are. For whatever reason, I was under the impression that there were a number of options you could choose from when creating a haiku.

I suppose I should stick to forms of poetry that are more meaningful to me ( and a lot more fun when you have a snoot full):

There was a young man from Indy

Who went to the place they call windy

He threw with great skill

And after the kill

Said this monster will not be gimpy :blueshoe:
