Delone Carter on his way out?

He should be the short yardage specialist. Didn't he have a high percentage of conversions on 3rd and short last year? I know people seem to like Moore, but I think Carter has more value to the team. Although I would keep all 4; Brown, Ballard, Carter, Moore. Carter could be more of a FB anyway....or whatever the terminology for his position is these days.

Brown, Carter, and Ballard. I really like that RB triple threat myself. Grigson, don't be foolish. Carter stays put on our roster. He's strong, tough, and runs well between the tackles. Too many people get obsessed with speed, which has it's place, but you can't put a premium on grid it out chain movers. This is what wins games in November and December--Not speed, but strength, tenacity, and toughness on the ground. Pound the pigskin over and over again. Football is a war of intimidation, endurance, and attrition plain and simple IMO.

Im cuttin Karim, Moore and Evans before I cut Carter

I guess I'm a bit different than you. I think Carter and Ballard are the same type of back so I'm okay with letting Carter go.

I actually would keep Karim because he could be a goaline back, but he's also a speed back running a 4.3 40 so there's

some versatility there that Carter doesn't have. I like both of them don't get me wrong, but that's what i'd do.

Just my opinion. All things aside Karim will probably get cut though

Of course I dont know for a fact but I'd say its a very good guess that Karim wasnt actually brought in to be a running back at all unless it was in an emergency. I think he was brought in more for kick return duty, If he sticks which I dont think is likely then thats where it will be for the most part is my bet

Carter did not look bad at all last year, fumbles aside of course. I will be shocked if he is cut honestly.

I prefer my RB's to hold onto the ball. Don't care either way though. I'm happy with the Brown / Ballard 1-2. I cannot get remotely excited about which third stringers we keep, but that's just me.

The fact that Moore has time in Arians system might give him a leg up on some of the others on the bubble, and I think it does give him an advantage over Carter too. If Carter had held on to the ball a little better last year I don't think this conversation is happening. But fumbles + Moore just might = Carter no longer a Colt. Especially when you have Ballard that can do Carter's job.

I've always said the same thing, carter and Ballard bring the same thing, solid short yardage carries. Ballard appears to be a bit better.

I won't be surprised if they keep Brown, Ballard, and Moore. Evans has another year of PS eligibility, I think.

I feel like Ballard is better in pretty much every aspect, but I don't see us cutting him. Evans, Karim, and Moore will get cut before he does.

I don't see Ballard plowing through the tackles like Carter does. Ballard has escapism on the outside kinda of similar to Brown. But I think Carter is too valuable to let go this early.

Reason he put 2 steelers on there hind end when he plowed the line

Totally agree...I am amazed by Ballard's combination of speed and power....As you know I like Carter too....:)

Once again finding myself with "like' difficulties....could not like you comment so I responded...

He wasnt known as a fumbler in college im pretty sure it was just rookie mistakes.

Didn't say I didn't see him doing that at all, said he doesn't do it like Carter. Which so far I find to be true. Carter plows through and gets 4-6 yards like it's nobody's business.

Where is Nobody today...Nobody likes this.....:)

I like em both...Ballard has WAY more power than I thought.....and I still think Carter can be a beast...

I hate when "Nobody" likes my post haha. I"m a big Carter fan. I think Ballard is a great RB and could probably even eventually start over Brown, but I think you need Carter in there for short yardage to be the "Bruiser". Let him go in there and take the punishment in between the tackles and keep Brown/Ballard fresh.
