The team’s failings have put us in a tough position

As we see Tennessee dismantle KC and losing a game we had in hand it getting feverish. Every game we lose makes the division title more and more improbable. If we lose to Tennessee next week we could be three games back and Tennessee would have the tiebreaker. This scenario includes us winning tonight. A lost tonight and next week would be devastating to the season.

i would say we are in panic mode and we will see the character of our team.

Yeah, unfortunately, the start to the season put us in a major hole where we are relying on help that may never come.

That is why I was so frustrated with the Baltimore loss.  I get that no one is going to win them all, but to blow a 16 point 4th quarter lead in that type of game considering the record at that point cannot happen.

We lost the Titans game by 2 scores despite being +3 in turnovers.

These are not things that playoff teams do.

Ballard looks like a fool how he let Autry go and did nothing outside of getting Wentz. He owes fans a apology. Just going to hope colts can entertain us. Don’t care about anything else. This Titans team is what the colts need to be. Instead we are a soft team that doesn’t fight.

I wanted Autry retained over Houston as he was able to be used in multiple positions.  He is having a game and would have been a good mentor for the young guns....hindsight is 20/20.

It is not the "team failings" so much as the super difficult schedule and the many injuries.

Injuries CAN and WILL kill your season...we are seeing that play out.

Difficult schedule? The Rams and Titans seem like the best team the Colts have played. The Seahawks, and Ravens are easily beatable ( as shown by other teams in the league) but this Colts team couldn’t pull it out.

The Colts are just a bad team. Plenty of other teams in the league are suffering from injuries and are still winning games. Ballard’s fault the backups aren’t capable of even being average.

Even before the injuries the Colts weren’t a great team(they aren’t bad either).  Besides QB, TE and RB, every position group has huge question marks.  Still capable of winning the division but need good coaching for that to happen.  Colts should get better as players return but until this coaching staff figures things out, they will continue to frustrate the fan base.

You can't be serious and if you are I can't take you seriously.  Seahawks are minus Wilson now but had him for the opener. The Ravens are pretty darn good team and today they lost to a Div opponent.  Rams are a very well rounded team and Tennessee is tough. I'm not impressed with the Colts the season but maybe get some perspective.

Watching the Bengals whoop the Ravens hurts too!

Just goes to show where the Colts are currently in respect to the AFC.  We are no better than middle of the pack right now.  Meanwhile, the Titans just may very well be the best team in the AFC.

The jury is still out on this team but not everything is all that bad. So far Wentz has proven he's worth the trade. Unfortunately for the Colts they had a mix of brutal injuries, schedule, mistakes in an already competitive AFC. I personally didn't have high expectations (superbowl contenders). I did think they could be a playoff team which they still could  11 games left. Looking forward if Wentz solves our QB problem that'll be huge. Colts could then focus on the other weak areas of this team.

Thank you for speaking with a level head. The record doesn't show this team's potential. In my opinion you nailed it.

The correct understanding and utilizing of the word of here is nice!

I think the Titans are the class of the AFC. They have a pretty well rounded team. World class running back, great receivers, a solid QB, decent DL and OL and good young coach. They've beaten Seattle in Seattle with Wilson. Beat the Bills and dismantled the Chiefs. We need to start rooting for the Titans to win all their conference games, but ours. Our only path to the playoffs is as a wildcard.

You are in Panic Mode because your expectations were based on Hopes & Dreams. A Knowledgeable Colts fan already Knows the character of the team!!!

They’ll go one and done in the playoffs again especially when they face a playoff defense that can slow Henry. Tannehill hasn’t done squat in the postseason.

You woukd say the Colts are in Panic mode?   And we are not halfway into the season.

Apparently you don’t follow the team very closely?   No crime,  but that’s a petty shocking claim based on nothing.

Panic?

Really, what part of my post sounds like hopes and dreams? Just the reality of the situation and I have watching football for 46 years so watch the negative personal comments
