What if this guy is available at our 3rd overall pick. Seemed to have some freshman issues at college but then came on strong( i think someone said 17 sacks in 2018) looks to read blockers well and shed them. I think he could be a great edge with Mathis and Houston in his ear
Right. NE traded a 1st round pick for Cooks the year they played PHI as well.
PHI had a 1st round WR, a top 3 TE in the NFL...and brought in Alshon...a legit 20 NFL WR...to create a legit trio of weapons. They also had Torrey Smith to stretch the field. And with DJax this offseason, they have now added a deep threat (Smith, Wallace and DJax) three years in a row. Stretching the field is definitely important to PHI.
I think PHI and NE value offense very highly.
We need elite talent at #2 and #3...
So I guess you're saying the practical value of saying that our #2 and #3 receivers aren't as good as the best receivers in the league is that we should get elite receivers to be our #2 and #3 receivers?
So this ultimately boils down to whether anything short of multiple top 10 WRs is flatly unacceptable.
