Reggie to be inducted into Ring of Honor

Reggie was also a lesson learned, for budding would-be GM's.  In 2000, we already had WR's Jerome Pathon and E.G. Green, drafted in 1998 with Peyton.  There was a little head scratching when we drafted Reggie with the 30th pick.  Why are we drafting a WR?  Don't we already have receivers?  And this guy was the "other" receiver out of Miami.  The guy getting all the headlines had already been drafted:  Santana Moss.

We drafted him because he was an improvement on a position where we already had decent players.

Ok, so what's the lesson?  The lesson is the possibility of drafting left tackle Mike McGlinchey when we already have a left tackle in Anthony Castonzo.  AG is not a bad LT.  He's the anchor of our OL.  He's well respected by the stats people.  But if you can improve the position, then improve the position.  a la, Reggie Wayne.

Congratulations, Reggie, on the Ring of Fame!  (Next step, NFL Hall of Fame!)

McGlinchey is better suited at RT than LT in the NFL.

Well everybody was upset when we drafted Edgerrin James instead of Ricky Williams sometimes you just got to trust your leadership.

Great to see #87 get such a landmark honor like this bestowed upon him. Reggie could catch anything.

I always enjoy listening to him as an analyst on NFL Network too. Smart, funny, fantastic storyteller too. I'll never forget his story about failing to feed Ed Reed's pet snake that later died either.

A lot of favorite Reggie moments for me... but I think the 'Chuck Strong' game with a rookie QB in Luck, coming back from 21-0 with a spectacular TD to win the game with 35 seconds left, was my favorite overall game from Reginald.

I'm detecting a pattern here. Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne. The ultimate security blanket for elite QBs.

Nice clip CFMC. Thanks for posting it.

Definitely worthy of being placed in the ring of honor. In my opinion, 87 was a better player than Marvin Harrison.

I love Reggie and he deserves Ring of Honor but he isn't better than Marvin. Anyway congrats Reggie. 2 Reggie games stand out to me, the game winning catch vs the Pats in 2009 with seconds left - I was at that game, and the comeback vs GB in 2012.
