Damn, it's kinda sad actually to me. End of an era in a way and a lot of good times for the first 3 years with him and crazy memorable games. I really do like this man and wanted him to do well here. Hope the best for him in the future with his overall life/health and in football too. I know the players did like him......just well.......it doesn't always work out the way you hope.

Now we move onto hopefully brighter times but it isn't always that easy. Hope the next coach will be able to get us back to winning ways and trips to the playoffs again.

I will say this, Pagano may not have been the answer for us as a coach, but he wouldn’t be immature enough to gloat over someone losing their job.

It's not like Chuck lost his job at the steel mill.  The guy is walking away with millions.  I doubt anyone from his childhood predicted Chuck Pagano, would be a multi millionaire.

Agreed. Let's not rub salt in the wound of a truly down to earth guy. His head coaching ability lacked but he is a great guy

Man, Ballard's cutthroat. I would have thought they would have at least let him enjoy winning the game. they could tell him tonight or tomorrow morning. everyone knows it was coming.

He's known since about week 5

My statement still stands. It shouldn’t matter their financial situation. He was a class act. Something members of this forum could learn from.

Heck of a nice man but it's time for a change. But stay away from Gruden

Let's just say I'm happy I'm not Irsay or Ballard right about now. With so many teams looking for new HCs and Lucks situation, the pressure is gonna be intense.

A couple of thoughts.

Like it or not, he's not the worst coach. There's a chance we don't get a dramatic upgrade. Hopefully we do.

He's a good guy and that bought him the leverage he had, but there was a continuation of problems this team had that he couldn't or wouldn't handle. Having a team that looked prepared, able to adapt and game management simply weren't very good, often enough.

I think he get's another job if he want's one though. This was as much a relationship that ran it's course as it was an indictment on his ability to win. With a healthy team, they would have been better and there's a real chance he would have hung on.

Onward and upward. The Pagano/Grigson sitcom is now over.

Except for that whole not cooperating with the NCAA thing.

This is actually a favor to Chuck to free him up so that he would be available for another job, like the DC for some other rebuilding team.
