Adam Vinitieri, the oldest player in the NFL, kicks the 51-yard field goal game winner!   His 27th game winner in his career! And the Colts win, the way we want to see this.  A climax for a weekend where Peyton is honored with his bronze statue outside LOS!   The way this game should be!  :cheer:  :coltslogo: . :1colts:  :colts:  :coltshelmet:  :cheer:

GO COLTS!!!!!  :rock: :coltslogo::1colts::cheer:

Some fans will be happy with the win, because it's a win. Others will look at this and see that it's a problem. I'm happy for the win, but not how we won.

Yep, it's a much needed win, but it doesn't leave me feeling very good about the future of the season.

Tell me about it, that actually ended up being a great game once both teams started to score. I couldn't even watch the OT, I thought we would lose.

Ot was just like the reg. time...slow start from both teams, a terrible INT by JB, a 3&out from SF, then a drive what we put together somehow...honestly I hadn't give a cent for that we could get into FG range... Then Marlon Mack got us there with a 35 yds run and AV nailed it from 51 yard.

Once again, we let the other team back into a game that we were winning by double digits.

Exactly great post

ON a more serious note...One of the worst injuries I have witnessed on TV in recent history happened to Odell Beckham.....Even the Charger players immediately seemed distressed by it. Bob Pappa ( Giants radio play by play guy ) wondered if all the players on the field heard something snap ?

We should be used to that by now tho so why not just celebrate and get a refill on our heart meds and keeping bleeding blue!

I think most of us had the Colts 2-3 after 5 game if Andrew was unavailable so here we are right at expectation. I was hoping for 3-2 but I always think Positive.

the good news that we are 2:3 without Luck, the bad news that Luck isn't ready next week on our first conference game...We need to win there. It will be the Titans, if I'm right.

That was a nasty looking injury. He looked to be in serious distress getting carted off the field.

I'm not worried about hanging with the titans the only thing that worries me is the titans will take advantage if we let them stay in the game if we don't come out hot and stay hot and win by 40 i won't be confident we will win until triples zeros

Unless Mariota makes a miraculous recovery it will be Cassel or Weeden starting

Apparently he's going to go into Surgery(Odell) might as well its a lost season for the Giants.

They will probably draft Eli's replacement.

Good win Colts I figured this was going to be close. They could extend the streak to two next week with the Titans.

I don't think the Jags game will be an easy out though.

Still in there for the win however, but by eck we are making it difficult for oursrelves

I with you, brother, but don't be dragging Dennis Eckersley into it... He'd have closed this game out in regulation. :spit:

Peyton hugging Irsay and shouted - "I will always be a Colt" so to the people that say he has bad feelings toward us or toward Irsay, you are wrong. Great win today on Peyton day! We are still alive, just need to get #12 healthy. Bressitt is a solid backup but we need #12 to beat the Good teams.

I never said he had bad feelings towards the Colts fans but he's not going to forget being tossed aside either.  I just don't think he has this great love for the Colts or Broncos that he does for the Vols. Not even close.

I don't get why you're surprised he is saying all these nice things about the Colts publically at least of course he is someone as image conscious as he is. He also says nice things about Denver too.

Would look really ungrateful if he said anything else if they are going to give you a statute and retire your number. I think he's okay with Irsay from a personal standpoint doesn't mean he wants to comeback and work for the Colts again either.

Its a nice walk down memory lane nothing more.

    • I have been vocal everyone needs to go. So stop with this crap.
    • I respect u  but after 5 years of building can u honestly say u see this team heading in the right direction with the talent and coaching that has been assembled by Ballard?? Honest question.
    • Well, most don't measure like you.  Me neither...
    • Here’s what I saw today:   positives:     Paye and Dayo played well i think the pass blocking was much better today (I’ll get to the run blocking in my negatives).  I think Fries should be the starter at right guard right now.  It wasn’t perfect but it was a far cry from what we saw last week.  A lot of the game Ryan had time to throw. Outside of sack fumble (I’ll get to that in my negatives) Ryan looked really good today.  Probably the most comfortable he’s been in the offense since he’s been here.  I am not counting the INT against him that was just fluke play.  He finally made a team sell out against the run every down.  Guys other than Pittman performed in the pass game.  Pierce looks like a good pick.  All three tightends had nice days.  Woods follows up last weeks effort with a big catch.  Granson had his first pretty good offensive game of his career.  Then Mo had a career day.  Dulin and Campbell also had some nice catches.  Maybe these guys are starting to figure it out. The second half defense was really good and what we expected to see most of this year.   Negatives:   That was the worst run blocking I’ve seen since the rolling block of butcher knives was here.  Just inexcusable for what they are paying them and the fact the Titans were the worse run defense in the league coming in.  The play calling did them no favors (I’ll come back to that) but still that was embarrassing. Ryan keeps talking about how he has to protect the ball but keeps failing to do so.  Stop saying what you are going to do and do it.  He’s too experienced to be making those mistakes. His timing is still off with relievers.  The passes in the endzone to Pittman and he had one on the sidelines to Pierce where you could tell it’s still off but it is getting better.  If that was the only issue I could live with it, Special Teams had a rare bad day at the office.  Another really badly missed field goal, a poor punt when you could have pinned them deep, no return game (in fairness that’s more credit to the Titans new punter than it is Hines fault), and giving up bigger returns than normal. Gus Bradley’s first half defense fits a pattern we’ve seen way too often under Frank Reich.  Sleep walk through a half of football and then comeback and play lights out in the second half and try to come roaring back.   Too many penalties.  None were back breakers but those are signs of an undisciplined team and that goes back to coaching.   Why is Facyson on this roster let alone starting or playing over Rodgers? Now the big giant elephant in the room.  The coaching.  Once again big divisional game once again a flat start.  We’ve now seen this in the last four division games the Colts have played.  I get sticking with the run and I get wanting to run behind Nelson.  I really do but when it’s ALL you do when you run the ball even I can’t figure out that’s what you are going to do and stop it.  Look at how the Titans used Henry.  They were getting him outside once in a while then coming back to the middle to keep you honest.  They also used this thing called the play action pass.  The Colts offense just looks so predictable.  It’s like the same three or four plays every game and they call the same plays in the same predicament everytime.  I get not wanting to go away from the run but when you just smash Taylor into the back of Nelson on first down everytime teams know that’s coming.  Mix it up run a play action out of it once in a while heaven forbid you fake a handoff to Taylor and pitch it to Hines or something or heaven forbid you try to get Taylor on the edge.   All I heard all week on local radio was how this was a good match up for the Colts and a chance to get right and I was just thinking I don’t think so.  The titans have the better coach and once again they showed it today.     I get the sentiment in saying I’ve seen enough of Frank.  I have too.  I could be wrong, because Irsay keeps talking about these big games and Frank keeps losing them, but I don’t think Irsay fires Frank tomorrow.  There is just little upside to it right now.  I don’t think John Fox or Gus Bradley is going to make this team better.  In fact I think they could make them worse which is a scary thought.  I do think Frank is going to have to win the division or have a deep playoff run to save this job though.  While we have seen this slow start to a season movie from the Colts under Frank before and he normally does get them going I think the Owner is going to run out patience this time unless Frank clears a big hurdle he hasn’t cleared before and that’s looking less and less likely. So those that want him fired have patience.  I think you will get your wish at seasons end.
    • Probably wants to keep Reich, and let him be GM too. ??
