Have anyone notice the two teams that started deflategate, the Ravens and Colts are two of those teams having a HORRIBLE season?? While the Pats haven't missed a beat?? Hmmmmmm, maybe an act from the football Gods???

Yeah normally in society when someone breaks a rule or law the person who catches them see their life go up in flames...

With the Ravens it couldn't have happened to a bigger bunch of whiner, excuse making fans/team. I want them be just bad enough miss the playoffs but still get a crappy draft pick. That's not from Deflategate but their whining over LEGAL moves done in the game.

The colts, I as a fan would giggle with glee if your GM was canned, but I don't hate the colts or their fans so I get no happiness from your team doing bad (unless they are facing my team) or struggling.

But this year outside of 4 maybe 5 teams in the AFC are good the rest are meh or OMG blow it up bad. Very very odd.

You sound like a Pats fan, disparaging fans of other teams.

Well I am a pats fan, and I didn't call the Ravens fans anything awful just whiners and excuse makers is all. And again wasn't regarding Deflategate but their whining and excuse making about the legal tackle plays in the AFCC game.

Now about real teams that are in disarray from an overwhelming amount of serious injuries to starters.... We lost Keenan Allen to IR today, WR on pace to set a new record for the Chargers and 3rd best all time in NFL (kidney laceration) and Brandon Oliver RB having a great year (toe)

I think our season is lost - we still come to compete and win, but we should work our young players as much as possible to see what we have and give them a chance to develop.  Malcolm Floyd is retiring, Antonio Gates is 35 - we have got to make the transition to the next series of great players to lean on.

Charges have been (from what I have seen) in all there games. Keenan Allen is a beast! While the charges have had injuries some teams have just well underperformed.

For example the Bills, they started off tough in week 1 got a brain cramp facing NE with stupid penalties and have since played sloppy undisciplined football. (Losing their QB hurt I know but their D IMO underperformed all year so far)

Just got on here for the first time today and figured I'd dump my opinion on last night's game here (which I had to gather from my friend's explanation because I didn't get to see it). That had to rip ya'lls heart out man...I mean dang. I still say they need to drop this fire Chuck nonsense though. For every heartbreak they're going to endure this year against the Pats, Panthers, etc they're going to get double the breaks aka a playoff spot if they can just take care of business in their division. The team is still playing hard, which can't be said for other stricken teams. Get to the playoffs and kick some @€μ§$!%#"!?${©

I like the Ravens because I hate the Steelers. Yeah the AFC is awful for the most part this year.

You guys are obsessed with the Jets, Colts, Ravens, and Steelers.

I would agree on the Jets lol, it's a Boston/NY Thing. Steelers? Not so much and colts? You are our 4th divisional rival lol we face you guys it seems twice a year!

Besides I was trying think of the most non impartial group I could lol

But the real reason you don't like the Ravens is because in four home playoff games , they kicked your butt twice and ruined your SB aspirations. On the last game when it was going down in flames again, the tricks came out of the bag once again. That is why no one outside New England respects those titles.

I will say the Ravens are one of very few who don't pee themselves when going into Gillette. But then again Manning and the Colts handed us a much harder defeat in 2006 and I never lost respect for them or their fans. The main difference? Colts fans/team don't whine and cry over every little thing. (Now their GM I already stated how I felt lol)

As for the trick plays, they were All legal and yiur coach for some reason never could figure it out. Now if you lost "respect" because your coach was inept and unable to adapt that's on you.

No, you made a sweeping statement about all Raven's fans. From what I've heard from most Ravens fans was that the plays were legal but sneaky. But I think it's also fair to point out that although legal, it fell into a general distrust of the Patriots going to the edge of the rules, or in other cases , as we know, have broken them and been penalized with draft picks.

You talk about Baltimore fans, how about the fourth years between 1960-2000 when Patriots fans whined, or the constant whining about the Yankees when the Red Sox hadn't won since 1918, before they finally won. I think you will see whiners in all cities.

You are right I shouldn't have painted a broad brush with the Ravens fans, just my personal bias after going there for a game and dealing with the nastiest people I have ever dealt with. ( and I have dealt with drunk angry Jet fans after a Patriots win.) what really scary is how bad would they have been had the Pats made that FG at the end!!

As for the plays themselves, there was nothing "shady" about them except your coach not knowing it was able to be done. Why do I think off the Dolphins ALL those years ago sprung the wildcat on your coach he whine "I don't think that's legal" . Sorry I just don't like your coach. I like Suggs drive and ability but not his mouth, and Flacco is a great playoff QB.

As for the pats outside of Spygate I give nothing else up as breaking the rules, I don't want go into it because that horse been beaten more than to death and I will not change your mind or you mine so why start.;

Everyone make makes that mistake using fans in 100% plural. As in Raven fans, Pats fans when in fact it's generally a minority.

Even the statement Eagle fans are the worst.

Really how many fans have said posters met/observed. All 70,000 at the stadium- each game minus season ticket holders? Plus the millions at home watching TV?.  Clearly the answer is no. The better answer is "the few I've run into"

OAN the Ravens ran a "trick" legal alignment a few games ago and when asked isn't that hypocrisy  Harbaugh answered I didn't know it was in our playbook. Ok. I thought that was rather humorous. :)

Chargers have been real unlucky this year with the Gates suspension and the injuries.  I think if the Chargers can draft well next year they can turn it back around.

Trust me, I have been up to New England and observed Patriot and Red Sox fans very closely. I've also encountered many drunk and ignorant fans. That's my personal bias. I thought New York fans were the worst, but I've talked to many people who paint Boston fans as the worst.

I listen to NESN , and the AM stations up in Boston, and it's a paradise of whining . Who can forget the crowd celebrating a Pat's Super Bowl, and hurling four letter expletives at the Yankees. You are right, you won't change my mind, and I won't change yours, but fans around the league know the truth, and it irritates the NE fan.

Yeah I commented on that a while back.

And I wonder if the "football gods" are controlled by Robert Kraft.

While I agree with you, you probably should have quoted the Pats fan, as he was the one who called another team's fanbase whiners and excuse-makers.

True, but OTOH, in football... how many times does the guy that responds to an imfraction in retaliation get caught and punished, with the original perp getting away with it?  :hat:

But I'm not superstitious, so i don't buy into 'football gods' stuff.

    • I'm all for doubling down and going EDGE in the 1st again. Just got to make sure we get the right one. Depending on where we draft, I'm okay with trading up a couple of picks to snatch the better pass rusher of the bunch. Since there will be a good amount of rushers, I hear, let's go get the better one. I can also see the draft being the opposite as this years. Most teams will go defense now in this draft, and very good offensive players fall. I think we are perfect on offense, that's why I'm okay with trading up to get the guy we need on defense.
    • IMHO , its all about perspective   If you treat Pierce as WR1, you will be disappointed   If you treat Pierce as a solid contributor, you will be pleased   - The man can block, maybe the best blocking WR on this team - The man has speed - The man can rotate in with our other WRs   I do believe that AD Mitchell will take over as a starting outside WR   The reality is, 17 games is a LONG season,    Pittman and AD Mitchell will be "fresher" for the end of the game as they are rotated in and out   The odds say that there will be injuries, and we could see Pierce be a starter on either side   I for one, WANT to keep Pierce thru his rookie deal (We will see after that)
    • Zach Moss is no RB1.  If he showed signs he was the Bills wouldn’t have traded him for Hines who also is no RB1.  Moss is a RB 2.  A good one too.  Fortunately for him a season playing behind the Colts OL worked out favorably for him. Moss became available because we have an RB1 and the Bengals jumped at the chance to fill a hole in their lineup and Moss can do that like he did for the Colts when Taylor wasn’t available.  He is not a back teams have to worry about like they have to do for Taylor.  Every team needs an RB1.  He was the Bills RB1 for a short time and shipped off to the Colts for Hines.  And they drafted him.  He certainly belongs on a NFL roster.  I wish he stayed to back up Taylor.  But money and opportunity always talks as it should.  I worry about our RB position if something happens to Taylor for a long period.  I think we should be looking for a proven player who would be that true backup you can rely on behind Taylor.  Right now that backup position is a position that concerns me.   The other being starting FS.
