Colts signing Kendall Langford

Stupid move now that I've seen the details. I guess this means he's starting, and that we want to be mediocre. I'd obviously rather have Redding at 2/6 than Langford at 4/17. If we don't get Knighton we fail in free agency.  We need to sign Knighton then draft D-Line in the 1st. And just because Grigson is the GM doesn't make him right all the time. I mean some people think every move he makes is genius.

Like I said man. Some people just blindly follow. They think every move Grigs makes is genius.

Look. I'm not "that guy" but seriously. If we do go into the season with Chapman and Langford starting, Grigs needs to be fired. I'm still going to have faith that he'll bring in Knighton. Its pretty simple really. Sign Knighton and have a solid D-Line, or not sign him and have a mediocre D-Line.

I get what your saying, but alot of people on here don't seem to factor in the fact that these free agents (quite often for the first time in there careers) have a choice as to where to go/what scheme they want to be in, ect.  This is also still the first 24 hours of free agency, we shouldn't expect a complete team at this point, IMO

I don't think people realize the last time Langford was in a 3-4 scheme he was a GOOD player. Better than Redding and RJF. He is an upgrade to anything we have, and he isn't overpaid imo, its about what I expected.

He was an above average pass rusher 4 years ago playing on the line with two other all-pro caliber lineman.

Yes, so a bad signing. And overpaid. If we're going by your definition of him.

RJF was overpaid but not a bad signing. Langford is cheaper and an upgrade in my opinion. Upgrade and cheaper, that's my definition since you were struggling.

The last time Langford was a productive pass rusher, he was in a 3-4 in Miami. This is a good fit, and he knows it. He says it was one of the deciding factors for him, and partly why he chose us over Detroit.

I'm a truck driver- just loaded in Denver. People there are upset, they believed they would get Langford. I asked who the Broncos signed. They said: no one- Indy's taking them all!

What's the beef with Chapman?

I wasn't worried about getting out of it, just that your giving a mediocre player $5M in a year you're supposed to be going "all in" on winning a title.

Exactly. There comes a point when being smart with your guaranteed money doesn't look genius when you consider that his cap hit will still prevent us from signing other/better players.
