Well I wouldn't say that hit to jar the ball last night was a whiff... They have the main culprits that throw their bodies around and hope they make a tackle like Butler and Melvin sometimes but the talent is slowly fixing that problem as they get better players through free agency and the draft.
And that's fine. I wasn't attacking you for being excited about a player. I'm excited about him too. Just didn't want people to get ahead of themselves about him after 1 week of camp.
Im glad to see him do well in game time and hope it continues. But no I haven't seen enough yet. He had 5 carries today. If he can do the same over several weeks in regular season action, then I'll have seen enough and hop off the fence I'm currently sitting on.
Can we have an end to this pointless argument now? He had 5 good carries, you made your point.
The Colts are getting better on defense. Oh, maybe not getting good at that "tackle" thingy just yet, but they have absolutely perfected the "whiff" move. It was pure poetry in motion last night. There was magic in the air, and the Colts spent most of the night grabbing the magic. They just weren't grabbing anything that resembled a ball carrier.
I'll give you Mingo with the forced fumble this game. Simon was just in the right place at the right time with the INT in game 1, I disagree there. I don't remember how Sheard did in the first game, but he was pretty bad last night against the Cowboys. So you are half right IMO, and that's if Sheard had a big first game, and I can't remember because I didn't see that one cause of where I live.
