After tonight I don’t think they will try and sneak Sam in practice squad. He will probably make the 53 because they will want him as AR backup in 24.

Agree.  If we don't keep Minshew after this year we still have a decent backup in Sam.

Wish I could have seen the game. Sounds like Minshew and Sam did pretty good? Hopefully I can catch the replay sometime when it's on.

Ideally you want the backup to run close to the same offense the starter can. With Sam we can do that in the future.

The downside is that Sam doesn't stretch the defense like AR does.  Minshew probably has a better chance of doing that than Sam does.  Either would be good, though.

The next Colts preseason game is Thursday at 8pm ET. the opponent will be the Eagles. The game will be shown locally. For those outside of the Indy or Philly area, the game will be shown at 11:00PM on NFL Network.
