He's been to rehab 15 times. There are only so many chemicals that can be used to treat the various substances, and the various substances tend to have short half-lives so that the body fully metabolizes them if you stay away long enough. I'm sure he has the money and ability to have matriculated all of the clinical programs that are available. I suspect his situation allows him to relapse, mentally, and he has no real obligations to prevent that...in that....it's not like a single mom who has no choice but to get clean. If people want to assassinate his character, be my guest, but I won't (over that issue) As a Colts fan, my concern and criticism has always been over his meddling and tweeting, which sometimes comes off as unhelpful. I figured he was around .500 without Peyton. .500 still isn't bad considering what he did with Peyton and winning a SB.

It’s a vicious cycle. Addiction leads to poor health requiring surgery down the road. Surgery requires pain medicine. Etc. I think the fact that he has more resources than the vast majority to address it (and has used those resources and even started full campaigns on mental health awareness) should be seen as a very real scenario that it’s not some nonsense excuse for drug users. It affects every level of society. You should take a course and thank your lucky stars that you aren’t personally affected by it. Which you are obviously not with your judgment on the issue. 3

Yeah, when I was a carpenter I worked with some older guys who couldn't function if they didn't get like 6-10 beers over a work day. They were intolerable, borderline useless, if they didn't get their beer. Addiction is terrible.

Maybe after the next OD Here’s the thing, it may not have been an actual OD. We don’t know. But there’s evidence that mixing certain drugs can have the same effect as an OD even if he was taking them as prescribed. Problem is, there’s not many studies out that that show how drugs can interact with each other inside the body. So while it’s most likely a self inflicted issue, it’s plausible it might not be.

He would drink around Pint of whiskey before going on the job and his work was excellent for years. My friend once told me when he went to work sober a few times, he couldn't function and would even shake, he couldn't work. Sad and unreal at the same time. I drink but like once or twice or week during games or to have a good time but I could not imagine being addicted to it to function around people.
