If the players are inept, no call will work

You work with what you have lol if that's the case we would need perfect players in every position and so would the entire league..quite frankly we need adjustments on talent and playcalling but to say it's simply execution isn't true chud has called some pretty bad games with very few perfect ones to counter it

Jack Doyle being slow has caught my eye more than anything else about him so far, I wonder how effective he will be as a #1 TE, Luck extending plays has more to do with his production than him getting separation, I'm starting to think.

Doyle lovers, take it easy :)

Very true. I thought I noticed that, but thought maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully he's just half heartedly running.

What a concept by Dallas. They're rewriting NFL playbooks tonight. Tough to defend such groundbreaking innovation.

Run short routes, find the holes in the zone, and get the ball out quickly.

Mix in some runs up the gut for balance.

Bad QB play hurts too

I can't lie, I'm not liking Tolzien much, but I'm also a little freaked out at some of Chuds lackluster play calls as well.

This game hadn't given me much positive reinforcement for the season honestly. Speaking honestly, no doom/gloom stuff.

This team is visibly UNPREPARED for games....PERIOD. This coaching staff is being given notice as far as I'm concerned. Ballard is not going to accept this lack of discipline, poor offensive and defensive game planning and incompetence. So what if Dallas has a great offensive line? Hankins wants to think this unit can be dominant? Better step to the plate and perform better than that!!!!! Disappointed in the first team defense...First team offense is lethargic to start games...Chuck confused as usual and now starting to show confusion and frustration.

    • Do have edge Laiatu Latu (UCLA) as a senior where in Week 1 he had an impressive outing with 3 sacks, 3 hits and 4 hurries to earn 93.9 PFF pass-rushing grade earning 2023 PFF TOW 1 honors.  DL Leonard Taylor III, Miami Hurricanes, Sophomore was another player deeper on my watch list that I left off who earned 2022 PFF TOW 8 honors.   Good find on Roman Hembry of Maryland.  Averaging over 5 yards per carry and 9+ yards per catching.  Impressive stat line from 2022 and seems to be repeating for 2023.      WR-Z Adonai Mitchell (Texas), Junior.  Missed 9 games in 2022 due to an ankle injury.  Impressive one-handed catch in the National Championship game where he played for Georgia in 2022.  Risk/reward potential as could see his draft stock rise if he remains healthy.  Will he declare for the draft or risk another injury?
    • I'll agree on the mid-season but his reset really helped and Heyward was a gold glover, not expecting that from Seiya.  It was a bad miss by him, but it shouldn't have been a matter. The Cubs blew it with Ross poor decision is my biggest issue. Since it seems like PCA is only there for D, who brings him in so early. Like I just can't figure out how ross is this dumb. I'm hoping he's fired after season especially if they miss Ross is biggest weakness. He taxed bullpen super early in year
    • @LJpalmbeacher2,   I would still be weary of putting Cincy that high. I get it though because of the last 2 years and Burrow is great. Burrow to me doesn't look near 100% healthy though. I still think the Ravens win that division.
    • That was a damaging loss to say the least. Up 6-0 and can't hold it. I have been saying all year that the 1 weakness we have is our Bullpen. We have trouble holding leads and have lost way too many 1 run games.
