or is this forum never satisfied with a win? we lose to denver at denver by one possession, fire grigs, fire pagano, fire pep, fire manusky. we lose to philly on a blown call by the refs and again fire grigs, fire pagano, fire pep, fire manusky. we have probably the best offensive and defensive performance we've had in a long time and its fleener dropped a wide open td, adams sucks, its just the jags. be happy with the win and stop acting like spoiled brats

Oh, it is just certain malcontents that seem to derive joy by being negative most of the time. Don't let them get you down, just consider the source.

Imo, I don't think anybody's acting like "spoiled brats" by stating obvious concerns, even after a 44-17 win. Did you ever see Jimmy Johnson let his guard down back in the early 90`s when the Cowboys were dominant and winning games? Even late in games when they were up, it was all business and execution. This aint Dallas nor Jimmy Johnson I know but that's what makes a good team like the Colts..great. and I personally want a great team. It was a great moral victory today, but if the same occurring mistakes happen against the Patriots, Saints etc of the NFL world the Colts will remain "good". There were a lot of bright spots to be happy about in todays game and am sure will be talked about. But overall big picture wise, IMO, there`s still a lot of work to do. Good is good but great is better

I agree with you ColtsRule, some people like to complain more than just enjoy their team. I don't get why people would want like for example, Mike Adams benched after this week. Our entire defense played well, and we shut down Jacksonville defensively for the most part, sure Adams isn't a star, but every defensive player you have doesn't need to be a star, and Adams isn't horrible, it just blows my mind how people always find something to complain and moan about.

Some people are never happy.

Also I still think some are here just to be right in arguments and that's more important to them than if the Colts do well.

So True....   Just remember  this  ~  People can only ruin your good mood  IF you let them, and also:

Welcome to sports.

I looked up the word "Fanatic" in the backward dictionary.

Fanatic; Completely reasonable, objective person not prone to irrational emotion and entirely capable of objectivity during times of duress and/or stress.

Yeah....that passes the sniff test.

Look, I sat in with the fellas at the Broncos board tonight, and many of them had their team written out of the playoffs, Manning in retirement, the coaching staff fired (all of them) and their team in shambles. That's after losing in overtime to the reigning NFL champs, in their house, one of the worst places to play.

This behavior is typical. Not that cooler heads wouldn't be welcome.

Well, as I have said, it seems as if people expect a perfect game.  No drops, no sacks given up, huge holes, shut out the other team.  And if that doesn't happen, there is disappointment.  I have never really understood the attacking of Fleener, TRich, and Pagano.  The negativity is brutal.  But I think those same "fans" will be cheering when the Colts can actually run and stop the run in the playoffs, where that really matters the most.

I think the only guy I had to put on ignore was OlBlue. Not as hot headed as I used to be so that helps. I just come to realize some of these keyboard killers wouldn't bust a fart bubble much less anything else.

You guys are horrible. Imagine being the guy that everybody has on ignore. Wouldn't that be weird?

Message Boards and forums like this one and others that I frequent are comprised of a diverse group of fans... After any loss you will have those who fear the "sky is falling" and must fire or bench someone to please the masses... You also have the fans who regardless of the outcome sip their wine while wearing their "rose colored glasses" and never have a negative comment... That is the fun of these groups, how boring would it be if 500 members logged on everyday and said "Go Colts" high fived each other and left without an opinion??? No, most of us would rather voice an opinion to spark debate and conversation.... So if someone wants Pep fired or Fleener benched etc... State your opinion as to why or why not... Either way the comments do not make anyone less of a fan.... Just my two-cents ...

"A win is a win" been said a billion times. What matter is the level of play we saw, meaning it was played well by the Colts as opposed to incompetance by the opposition. Every play of every game counts and if you execute well it adds up and will show itself down the road. Look at some of the results yesterday- losers were Green Bay, San Fran, Denver and New England was nowhere near what they used to be. A locker room after a win against a poor team is better than a loss to a great team. Winning  tastes as good as it smells.

I'm happy with the win.  But just like I don't go overboard when the Colts lose, I don't go overboard when they win.

The Denver game, the Colts looked bad in that game.  The Philly game, yes the refs blew a call but the Colts still failed to stop Philly on two straight possessions and had a chance to go on a game winning drive and failed.  So, it's not like the Colts played great in either of those games.

In the win, the Colts looked really sharp in the first half in all three phases.  In the 2nd half though they gave up 224 yards and 2 TDs to a rook in his first game action and only scored one offensive TD in the first half.

Like Dungy used to say and like Pagano says, a team is never as bad as they look when they lose and never as good as they look when they win.

Know "we" didn't.  neither did the Colts, the back-ups starting coming in in the 4th quarter.  It was Butler and Adams that missed the tackle and allowed the long TD pass.  It was the back-ups that got fooled with the fake spike.  And Toler and Davis did pick him off and they were nice INTs, but they are not the back-ups.

I agree, it is our best performance since Jax 37-3 last year. If Bortles had started we might have lost.

I`m happy for the Guys to get a win and that some of our young guys got some good snaps. Yaaaaa!

Then there are Homer Ostrich`s that wanna just shake the Pom Poms and shout Happy Days. Woot! Woot!

 Takes all kinds.

    • The Cardinals didn't put up a fight against the Reds.
    • That weightlifting aged him pretty good as far as his back.  I wish him well post-surgery.  I think he's going to be feeling much better!!!  We need his leadership!!!
    • I doubt any of us here have spent more time studying the health issues of Latu than the Colts have.  If they are comfortable with it that’s good enough for me but that’s just me.
    • This makes me so happy. It's Karma for all the lies and deception the NFL has put out since recently. They supposedly care about player safety, so lets add a week to the regular season with plans to add more. All these international games where teams have to travel more and the fans get less home games. All the games now that are going to be on various streaming services off TV where people can't watch them with their family. The blatant terrible refereeing the last few years in order to rig games and expecting people not to notice. The Taylor Swift crap this last year where they sold their soul.   It's all about money. That's all the NFL cares about. We are trash to them. The players are trash to them unless they make the NFL money. I hope the NFL has to pay out $14B. This would be exactly what they deserve for ruining this sport to the point where it's almost unwatchable now.
    • This aged like fine wine. After this happened, I bet $1 on the Lakers to win the NBA Finals next year. Get $31 dollars if they do. I'm buying into the conspiracy theory that the league will give it to Lebron and Bronny. Also think the Lakers will make a move or two in FA.
