Colts still can't tackle or stop the run

We are doing fine with backs but yes the read option is going to give them fits if they don't figure something out but you can say tat about most defenses right now.

You're way off base.  They've done an excellent job against the runningbacks.  The quarterback is the issue.

They stopped the run, McFadden had 17 carries 48 yards 2.8ypc...just the QB runs killed us which only a few teams have

for sure pryor gave us a big problem but their tackling was very good i think especially by landry, he should be mvp of the game if not for lucks 3 tis

Miss. Colts did a fine job against Mcfadden. Pryor did a fine job carrying the Oakland offense.

We can stop te run we bottled up the run game it was the scrambling that hurt us which u can't really game plan for give some credit to the opponent

Its one thing to give up rush yards to an opposing running back, its another thing to allow a read-option quarterback to give us trouble like that.`

We were great against the run Mcfadden was a non factor. Erik Walden not holding contain is a big reason Pryor ran for so many yards.

Our run "D" against the backs was above average if not better.  I would like to see our LB's hit the QB more after he hands off in the read offense. Give him something to think about.

Put Mathis back where he belongs, and see if that helps. Not a good performance at all today. Big dissappointment.

We managed to shut down McFadden relatively well, it's the read-option that we couldn't handle. Erik Walden was awful on the strong-side. But most of the defense wasn't great today. Landry, Toler, Bethea and Freeman were notable exceptions.

I know Toler had a pick, but he gave up some crucial third downs with poor coverage across the middle, and he gave up a touchdown way too easily.  Not overall a good day for Toler.

Uh no. we can stop the run, you clearly werent watching the game. we held mcfadden down pretty damn good, Pryor was just a ***** to play against, alot better than I thought he was, great in the pocket and with scrambling.

A Detroit lion fan talking to us about defense?   That quarterback runs almost a 4.2 40, there aren't many teams in this league that could totally bottle that up.  Quit trying make an issue out of a non issue.

Actually, we played the run against the running backs  very well. It was the running around by the quarterback that gave us troubles.

This was our first time seeing the read option.  True they watch tape and our coached up, but to actually see and be apart of it in live action is totally different.  Our defense came through when needed, they had pressure on the QB (Pryor was running around all willy-nilly at times), we will be better.  I would be more concerned with a few blown assignments on defense that gave up some big plays, but once again it was the first game.  It's OK!!
