Patrick Miller
With as crappy as our secondary is, it couldn’t hurt to bring him back to compete.
NewColtsFan
It’ll be interesting to see if the Colts put in a claim? I’m not predicting one way or another, I realize there are a lot of roster gymnastics that have to happen. KC may be hoping to re-claim and stash Rush on the PS. Still, it’s something to keep an eye out for.
Scott Pennock
We will re-sign him if we can to at least the PS
Hawkeyecolt
I said three weeks ago after KC cuts him people are going to realize they were making too big a deal over a 5th Rd draft pick being released. 2
GoColts8818
Ballard said in the presser after the cuts they were hoping to get him back so I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he ends up on the Colts practice squad.
AwesomeAustin
Maybe if we want him on the PS to see if he will develop. He has been cut by two teams rather quickly so he may not be NFL caliber. Will be interesting to see if we do sign him

Shive
Rush was always going to be a guy with high end traits that would need a little bit of time to develop since he was so new to playing CB. Since KC had to sign him to their 53 man roster when they claimed him off waivers, I figured it was a matter of time before he got cut. It's not an indictment on him being NFL caliber or not, just that he's not there yet. I'd love to get him on our practice squad. You have to wonder if KC would offer a spot on theirs and if he'd rather stay there. 3

rockywoj
If I am Rush, looking at how questionable the Colts secondary is, I would choose to sign on with the Colts practice squad. I’d like my odds of getting a call up to the active roster.

My point was if they had Gilmore, Rodgers, and Moore at corner along with everyone else they have those units are all really really good, in some cases (DT and LB) as good as you will find in the league. The safeties are just okay, which isn’t bad but they would be the clear weak spot in the defense.

I doubt we do that since we waived him initially to put him onto the practice squad. He made it all the way to the last waiver spot before, so I imagine he'll clear waivers and can be signed to a PS (hopefully ours). 1

Rolltide_gocolts
What could it hurt.. Scott Pennock
Nico ran that same skinny post and CJ hit him in stride every time. Baker played the outside leverage BUT the Cover 2 is designed to have a backer drop back into coverage AND safety help over the top. All three have to work in unison. It is not working and everyone is piling on Baker…….go back and watch the game, number 39 wasn’t the only one that got beat on that route. That is not me saying Baker is great, but, young guys with no NFL experience learn on the fly just like Flowers, Brent’s, Jones and Rush (if he gets re-signed)……the only difference is fans will be screaming that Brents and Jones are busts too.
Lifetime Colt
I would like to see Nick Cross included in the "learn on the fly" philosophy just as these young corners are. He seems to have made a decent leap from his rookie year, has the speed and toughness to contribute somehow. Maybe Kenny moves to corner and Cross gets some nickel experience in his place. 1
