  1. Odunze might be gone before the Bears pick. I’d give it at least a 50% chance.
  2. He has zero reason to go through the workout. He did the workouts last year. His game tape is plenty. The eight teams all said they were fine with it.
  3. At least after Ryan they could finally re-set the QB position. With Baker they would be stuck in mediocrity. AR gives them a chance for more than that.
  4. Between the Davis and Bryan signings I have to believe Eric Johnson will be unemployed or on the Practice Squad next year.
  5. Could he do it? Sure, but it is much tougher for him than most owners in the NFL. The Colts just layed out $200 million this free agency. I imagine over half in guaranteed money. That’s a lot for Jim.
  6. You do know that Destin has broke things first in the past. People need to lay off of Destin. He does a good job. I don't doubt for a minute that he was given information that was true. However, Jim Irsay being able to put all of this guaranteed money into escrow probably was the real hold up. Ballard is never going to tell you that publicly.
  7. I live in Iowa so I’m surrounded by Packers, Bears, and Vikings fans so speak for yourself. 😂 I despise Dallas the most.
  8. There is really zero reason to have MAC on the roster at $5.9 million. Even if you cut him and re-signed him for less that would make more sense. The Colts should ask the NFL for clarity on Ogletree's situation.
  9. Sneed is a free-agent just like every other free-agent who is trying to maximize his value. Johnson just got a big deal from the Bears. I'm sure he wants to be at that number or higher.
  10. Reich was the one who wanted Parris. It was pretty well documented that Reich was the guy who pounded on the proverbial table for Campbell and Granson. Ballard has always drafted for the system the coach was implementing all the way back to drafting Hooker for Pagano.
  11. If they signed after the new season officially began on Wednesday it would have remained a 3rd Rd. Pick.
  12. He must have missed Cross doing the Moss on the int vs Pittsburgh. If they don’t bring back Blackmon then I assume they feel Cross is ready to handle SS
  13. Let’s not forget that Hunter the Punter chased down Deion Sanders and Desmond Howard from behind in the same season.
  14. Extending Buckner and cutting MAC should be plenty. If you have to re-structure Smith or Nelson so be it. I don't want to pay any center 12-14 million especially one that Kelly's age. I wouldn't commit to that just now. See how he plays this year. They should be looking for a long-term replacement.
  15. Curl is a strong safety not a free safety. Might as well sign a more productive Blackmon then. Diggs and Simmons are free safeties
  16. Didn't expect the Flacco move at all. Figured Huntley or Tannehill if desperate.
  17. I guess I'm not upset about Ridley going to the Titans. The Jags got weaker going from Ridley to Gabe Davis.
  18. Cleveland's blitzing worked so well in the playoffs against Houston. How do people think the Colts young corners would have held up blitzing more? Defo recently said in an interview that Gus couldn't run as much of the defense that he would have liked due to the inexperience in the secondary.
  19. It seems to me that re-signing their own players and addressing the defense in FA was and should be the plan. Getting AR more weapons should come from a loaded draft. Re-signing a top 15 receiver was important for AR's development.
  20. Exactly! It's like they didn't notice the Colts getting gashed in the run game when Grover was suspended or when either Johnson or Bryan was on the field. Everyone new DT depth was a must need. Johnson was the lowest graded DT in the league for the people who care about PFF grades. Davis' cap hit this year is $5million next year. That's it. Plus, there's a good chance that Johnson's $1 million is gone. He showed almost no development from his rookie season. Minimal at best. The moment Grover or Buckner left the field last season the Colts were absolutely run over in the middle of the line because neither Johnson or Bryan could win a matchup. Some just want to bash Ballard no matter what move he makes or doesn't make.
  21. Yes, he would still be the future. The last thing AR needs is to be looking over his shoulder. Fields would be sitting on the bench a year from free-agency. He would be unhappy that he’s not able to increase his market value sitting on the bench. It’s a recipe for disaster in my opinion. I would rather have a vet who knows what his roll is.
