They clearly didn't want any part of the media circus.  Just focus on football this year and eliminate any/all distractions.  They have a nice path to the SB.

A few mildly interesting cuts to me:

 

WR Treadwell - coming out of school a very highly touted and drafted WR who never seemed to do much. Weird how that works sometimes.

RB Wilkens - worth a look as a returning backup?

RB Drake - just a year removed from a near 1000 yd season and a career 4.5 YPC avg. Not even worth a roster spot?

OJ Howard was just released by the Bills…I think he is a better option than Jelani (for now). The problem is, we are back to having to figure out the rest of the roster by keeping 4 TEs.

Howard is a great blocking TE like Doyle was.  Might not be a bad add.

Agholor just hasn't been productive yet in his career. He's had flashes, but just hasn't seemed to have put it together.

Did he have an injury or something a while back?  I thought he was the better RB than Chubb when they both left UGA.  And I think Chubb may have had an ACL at one point.

Vikings waived their starting DT Armon Watts.

I don’t often feel sorry for professional athletes.  Marlon Mack may be an exception.  He just can’t catch a break — I was hoping this year would finally be the year he does.

Raiders waived their 2021 First round pick OT Alex Leatherwood.  It can’t be all that common for a 1st round pick to be waived after just a single year.

 

I’d say this is some vindication for Ballard’s opinion that there weren’t any great NFL LTs in last year’s draft.

That sucks for Mack.   I was really pulling for him to have 15 good games this season with the Texans.  

He will certainly get picked up by a team at some point.

Leatherwood was at RG the majority of last season.  He also played guard and tackle at bama

I find that mildly surprising but not shocking. He's been a huge disappointment. Mack however is borderline shocking to me and if he's willing to swallow his pride and realize he'd be right back where he was here as a backup, I would love to see that.

Would love to have Chachere back but after last season doubt he would return.
