No way.  That dude had me send him 10k to free him from a Nigerian Prison back in the early 2000's and his father, the King of The ofogono tribe, never repaide tenfold ...  I don't trust him any longe

https://www.nfl.com/news/player-cuts-tracker-nfl-teams-finalize-53-man-rosters-for-2020-season   Figured they’ll start rolling in soon

Hence why I said it would be a surprise cut...  I didn't say I think they will, I said that I think the surprise cut, if any, would be Jacoby.   That said, if the Colts FO is making choices

That I am sad about, I was hopeful he'd be healthy to go. Hopefully he can get healthy and be a force in the second half

I just want him to come back healthy, hungry, and energized. We really need him for the home stretch.

IDK. Wouldn't shock me, but not feeling it. Given we have 2 jumbo WRs that can run out of the slot, just not that much need. And Reich already said Hines and Pascal could run Burton's routes, which are really just slot routes anyway.

Might need an extra OL too

I'd love to upgrade the depth, but doubt we keep more than 8 on the 53.

Surprised Green was 8th though.

Did Hentges get cut? I was sad we had to let him go last year. I liked him. I’d be very happy to get him back. Wonder if they re-look at Hairston at cb as well.

New IR rules just for this year:

» Unlimited return-from-IR spots (teams usually get just two [three under the new CBA, I believe])
» Players placed on IR have to sit out at least three games (any other year it's at least eight games)

Just like any other year, to qualify, players have to make the initial 53-man roster and then be placed on IR. Once they return to practice after sitting out at least three games, it's still that 21-day window for the team to decide whether to move them to the active roster or revert to IR for the rest of the season.

Corner more than anything IMO. After Rhodes and Ya-Sin it’s very shaky.

Eagles released Sidney Jones and Rail Douglas. Couple possibilities.

Pats released Folk and another kicker today.  I'm thinking Chase is their new guy.

Might bring in AV also?

I expect a few more moves tomorrow.  I don’t think this is the roster that takes the field next Sunday.

Most certainly, then possible couple guys going to injury list on Monday to open uo a couple more spots.(Burton, Day)

    • Stafford's new contract will be negotiated before the trade is done. This will be the case with any team that he is traded to...because a team that doesn't want to commit to Stafford for several years won't give up the requisite draft capital to get him. If a team wants to just rent him for two seasons...they will get outbid.   From what I have read...the organization has a great relationship with Stafford...and will look to find a trade that is good for the organization and that Stafford agrees to. And money will certainly be part of that.   Think of it like the DeFo trade. That contract was already agreed upon before the trade was official. DeFo only had one year left on his deal...but it's different when we are talking about the QB position.
    • The problem with that is Stafford will be 35 and 36yrs old for those 2 seasons. Not old, old but also not the age you want to be paying a guy top positional money either.
    • An admitted nobody that says he has a friend of Stafford's representation?   Take with grain of salt, but hopefully he is right.
    • That's an easy question...no. Stafford alone does not put them over the top.   But that's not the question to be asking. The question is that "IF you trade draft capital AND give Stafford a big contract...are you still able and willing to do what it takes to build a top 5 offense?" That means bringing in an alpha WR1...and perhaps a TE as well.   If they are willing to go all in on the offense to build a top 5 offense...then yes I think they can compete for a SB.
    • Pretty easy,   he was responding to the tweet above his.
