Next NFL Franchise

I don't think San Antonio would get an NFL team. The market isn't very large, the city already has the Spurs, and there are already two other teams in Texas. I think if a team were to relocate that the NFL would try to get a team in London. With these things you just never know though. I still can't believe that the Chargers left San Diego and there are still people in Baltimore that can't believe we have the Colts in Indianapolis so I guess anything is possible.

Pshhh my Cubs Championship parade had 5 million

The metro area of Chicago has over 10 million people. (the 3rd most populated  in the US)  That is not including the out of county burbs.

It's really not surprising there were more people.

Just saying.

I hope San Antonio gets one.

Jags could relocate and stay in South

What would SA team be called?

Finally, the Ford family has had enough and decide to sell Detroit Lions.

The Franchise is bought by Sea World in San Antonio for cheap

and the Franchise is renamed as

San Antonio Sea Lions

Happy Ocean GIF by TikTokLogo could look something like this.

And this is their official Mascot for Sea Lions!

walrus GIF

Andy Reid becomes the first ever head coach for San Antonio Sea Lions.

Matthew Stafford changes his name officially to Matthew Stallion, and plays until either he breaks down on the field or Reid finds his next Mahomes.

I wonder if St. Louis will ever get another chance at an NFL team?

There's not many viable places in my mind that would make sense geographically.  I can see the Bills in Toronto or Montreal be successful.

I agree San Antonio isn't a good fit for several reans already stated.

I'll stir the pot a little. Is Indy a very secure host for the Colts into the future? How long do stadiums appease owners these days? 20 years or so (absurd btw)? LOS is 12 years old?

I'm making no predictions beyond this will be an issue again and the threat of the team leaving will probably be on the table, especially if Jim isn't calling the shots for whatever reason.

(If there's some quiet news about this outlining why my take is bogus, let me know)

I think its safe yes.  the team and city have a good relationship right now

teams usually move over money problems or losing the fans we dont have either of those problems.  we have a very good stadium too

Wyoming has a good GDP per capita and does not have a team, just saying. :dunno: :)

Virginia and Hawaii don't have teams either.  Virginia has the population for sustaining ticket sales.

I think Virginia is sustaining any of the ticket sales for DC team already.
