A little bit more air on that ball and Aiken could have run away with it.

Tolzien does not have the arm strength to put it in there.

That's why he sucks.

I still say Stephen Morris could have won this game!

If it gets too bad there is no reason why they shouldn't throw Brisket in...  yeah he doesn't know the offense but neither does Scott.

This is pathetic

This is a journeyman backup that has never produced.  Nothing much was expected, and I think we're seeing just that: "nothing much".

Yeah this is depressing. And the Rams just made a huge play.

    • that and learning how to prepare accordingly. If it would have been addressed last year (would have shown at some point along the season had he not been injured) the front part of this season might look entirely different.
    • Although Ballard expressed regret for starting him we have to admit he looked good when he started last season. Now maybe in perspective it wasn’t about his play last season but that he needed to learn to protect himself. Which he seems to be doing much better now.
    • ar needs to play to get experience and not worry about him getting hurt
    • I was robbed! Stupid refs...
    • I just read the article. There's some good perspective in there about not writing off a young player so quickly, and I generally agree with the tone and the conclusions. I have two criticisms of Ballard's comments, though.   You already pointed out the first one. The communication from the Colts about the benching sucked. If anyone with the Colts wants to be mad about the way it was perceived by fans and the media, they need to be mad at themselves. Bottom line.    Second, Ballard is once again expressing regret over putting a young player in a bad position to start his career. And this time it's a QB. I think this criticism about other players is kind of overblown, because young players need reps, and you can manage their time and their situational use. Making a lane for them to get a good amount of reps each week doesn't bother me, and if you decide to cut their reps back for a few weeks, it's not a huge deal. This is your starting QB. He's the youngest, most raw and inexperienced QB ever drafted at the top of the first round. Putting him out there too soon is a problem, for lots of reasons; we've just seen some of them play out over these two seasons.    So the Colts didn't have a good plan for carefully developing their QB, they did a poor job of setting expectations for him, and they did a poor job of communicating their decisions (internally and externally). These are some of the reasons why my confidence in this operation is at a low point.   I agree with some of the other things he said here. But big picture, we have some serious problems.
