Colts Vs. Jaguars Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

Makes u feel good when a team gives up 51 pts last week and their coach looks forward to playing the Colts. Tells the story of this season hen u don't even get respected by the jaguars.

They got to start dialing it up, 14 of 18 is ridiculous.

Pressure won't do much if the secondary doesn't start covering these average WRs

Actually, pressure would help the secondary greatly.

-Secondary has to step up and find a way to disrupt the passing game as does the pass rush

-Bortles is 14 of 18 for 179 yards abd we are only at halftime

-Moncrief and Fleener are having good games 7 catches out of 9 targets 78 yards between them, Have to go to them from intermediate routes more (11-20 yards).

-Jax has stacked the box in the run game some

-Hilton targeted 5 times but only 1 catch

For the first half, the Oline pass blocked well. One sack on MH...on 3rd and 10 with a blitz. One hurry early in the half.

No, nice help from the Jags on that drive. Every single one of those was the correct call.

Yeah, and the refs made the correct calls, which is a lot to ask for most of the time.

I think the same thing every time I see a commercial for it. Like, why? For what reason do they need a cheesy knock off on superman

We need to establish the run in the second half. No Andrew Luck + No running game = Bad offense

We are a bad offense so far this year with Andrew so what's worse than bad?

One thing I'll give Matt... he hasn't been turning the ball over  haha

Suh kicked Fitzpatrick in the head. We need to get that piece of trash out of the league.

Yeah I remember when people on this board were screaming for Suh, he has sucked this year. Overpaid dirty trash.

The times we are getting to him they have people open. Bortles has 3 incompletions

8 rush yards in the first half?  How about this OL...

Its also a function of the RB lining up directly behind the QB on every running call. Never passing out of that formation.

The Colts are not getting to Bortles very often, he has had all day to throw for the most part. He is hitting dump offs for the most part when there is pressure.

    • I dont understand why you would take Lamar over Andrew wheb Lamar isn't even a proven passer. Sure he can run and avoid pressure. But can he pass at an elite level?
    • Yeah Luck did quit on us but he was not over rated.  No knock on Rivers but I wish we had a healthy Luck on this team right now. Sorry, saying he was over rated is pure horse dung.
    • Well first, I wouldn't play on a football team because I don't like to depend on others. I'm a control freak. Second, I have already said plenty of no1 overall QBs don't win the SB early in their careers. My issue with Luck is how uncompetitive and easily shut down he is Vs the Pats, and the fact that he quit on the team when things finally started getting good with Ballard. He is completely overrated and had little passion for the game. When you're the best prospect since Elway, when does some of the responsiblity go on you to win games? Why does he need a perfect team to win a SB or beat the Pats? Even if the team wasn't good enough and he was outmatched, he quit when he had the tools to win. That erases any credibility that he could of won with better talent. We have better talent now, and Luck wanted nothing to do with us.
    • The Colts scored 24, 22, 20, 7, 27 and 24 with Luck. The 7 was in the AFC Championship game with the SB on the line. We were never competitive and the highest Luck scored Vs the Pats (27) was lower than the Pats worst score Vs us (34). Again, Luck was overrated, and he quit on us. The defense was bad, but he didn't hold up his end either.
