Leshoure is all talk.  He wants to ball but doesn't do anything when he has it and can stay injury free long enough to see if he can change it.

Like dgambill stated, it doesn't hurt to look but I don't see Leshoure as an upgrade over Herron and questionable whether he brings anything more than Tipton

I am 100 percent in agreement! Although I actually think Tipton may be better.

I know the stats the point is he has only played one full season in his career, he was always injured as a Giant but showed up on game day and as we all know and boy do I know the older you get the easier it is to get dinged and longer to heal.  I am a huge fan of Bradshaw have watched him since he was a rookie ( my wife and one of my best friends are giants fans ) I hope he stays healthy because he can do it all on the field.  All that to say we have a very uncertain backfield and looking at a guy like Leshoure is good due diligence and he could possibly help us we see it all the time a change of scenery of course we also see it backfire but I would suspect he would be cheap enough that we dont really have much if anything to lose.

Hes worth takin a look at for sure, i agree with you and thats the point.

Wasn't trying to pick a fight either, i just see the Bradshaw injury comment a lot and for some reason i responded. Too much coffee today.

Just taking measurements and kicking tires in case there is a need.

Please, god, don't tell me that those who have cried over Trent's inability after coming in late without a training camp under his belt, are now banging the monkey for this guy to basically come in the same way and start. If thats true, we just need a woodshed and a good stick of hickory.  ;)

Look what Ryan Grigson has done to you. You're happy a rb that got cut is visiting. After trading a 1 for a rb. Think about that

What Ryan Grigson has done to us? Really? He has took a 2=14 team and in 2 seasons took them to a wild card, division title and a playoff game. He won GM of the year his 1st year. He has 5 players left on this team that were here before he came and 2 of them are kickers. You think about that.

The one player that turned that around, I could have drafted him.

Agree. I'll bring the wood, you got the shed?

Why is it that I keep on seeing this brought up lately. So the fact that Grigson has completely re-shaped our defense and re-loaded us with offensive weapons is completely negated because he sent a 1st for Richardson and it has yet to work out?

This is a team that we dumped ALL of the stars on the offensive side from, outside of Reggie Wayne, and he has replenished that pool with young talent.

Or the fact that we turned a 2nd rounder into a very solid young Starting CB?

How about adding in the fact that he had probably the strongest single draft in team history that year. I guess that never happened. But hey, since he made the choice for Luck, and you could have made that choice, we know that you weren't one of the people complaining about letting Manning go, or thinking that RG3 was the new hotness.

Was typing something similar but I don't think I could say it any better. Haters gonna hate. Bandwagon fans will be on and off the band wagon. Granted I haven't agreed with all of grigs moves, I'm happy with him trying unlike polian who just sat and hoped the same players would get even better.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that former Lions second-round pick RB Mikel Leshoure is scheduled to visit with the Colts. Leshoure, 24, was entering the final year of his rookie contract and would have made $645,000 for the 2014 season before he was waived by the Lions last weekend. This is the first reported interest in Leshoure since he became available, so we’ll have to see how things go with the Colts in the coming days. In 2013, he appeared in just three games and totaled only two carries for nine yards. The year before that Leshoure ran for 798 yards on 215 carries (3.7 YPC) and scored nine touchdowns. The post Former Lions RB Mikel Leshoure Scheduled To Visit With The Colts appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

LIKE!!!

A true difference-maker for the Lions. :)

He is the exact size and age as Zurlon Tipton.  I am happy with what we have.  Herron can play!

Actually, not at all true

More like ridiculous. We are looking at Leshoure to cover our bases like Grig's does. Our 2nd rb is a  guy coming off of neck surgery and two guys with no actual NFL game experience behind him. If Bradshaw goes down we know whether or not Leshoure is someone we want to bring in.

Or if we like what we see we sign him wk 2 as someone pointed out when there is no guaranteed money. There is no reason not to look. That doesn't mean we are buying.

this is covering your bases in case something happens to Bradshaw and I am sure we are looking at other rb's as well. If the guy was all that why is he in street close week 1?

    • I guess the whole question is the merits of the report. You report on his diabetes with tons of guesses and speculations and WITHOUT taking the side of the person who's been affected here and who's living and dealing with that condition. You report on the player being uncoachable WITHOUT taking the opinion of his coaches about being coachable or not(and BTW from what I've heard both from Colts and Texas coaches, this is resoundingly NOT TRUE). You report about him being immature and honestly, everything I've seen on the surface suggests the opposite. You report about his combine performance by giving it a pretty harsh reading(the video is in this thread and the account of what happened by McGinn is in this thread... People can actually go and look at what happened and make their own mind about whether the characterization of that workout was fair or not. I will just say you can represent the player stumbling in a drill and going again in various different ways and McGinn chose a specific way to represent it. It was the most negative way you could choose).    You know I had my own reservations about that outburst by Ballard at the presser, but the more I'm learning about Mitchell the more I actually believe in what Ballard was saying and the less merit those reports have in my mind. Maybe I have my own unconscious biases too, now that I have vested interest in Mitchell actually being good for us. I don't know     I guess ultimately none of it matters. AD's success or failure won't depend on some pre-draft reports... it will depend on how he handles himself from now on, how hard he works, his drive to be great and our staff's ability to get the best of him.
    • Hmmm.   ”Healthy excuses will be hard to come by.”    Really?   Richardson, who had less than a thousand snaps in college, then had roughly 200 snaps his rookie year.  There’s one.   And Houston has Stroud who had a great rookie year.  Aren’t most media predicting Houston and JVille ahead of Indy this year?  That’s two without any trouble.     I just think insisting on a division title because a fan thinks it’s time doesn’t stand up to much scrutiny.   Sorry, just my two cents…. And often not worth that much.
    • For me absolutely it does. If Richardson stays healthy excuses will be hard to come up with. As positive as I am with Ballard at some point we have to start winning. He bet on himself by bringing in his own home grown talent this year, what he does at safety in the coming month and a half has me worried as well. We were so close to winning the division last year with a back up QB that my expectation is winning the AFC south this year.    If they make it into the wild card game and lose then the seat is just as hot for me. If they advance further and make a Cinderella run then I’m fully back on board.
    • 3 straight losses for the Reds. They have their moments where they play well. But it’s time to be real. They aren’t a playoff team and will never be as long as the Castillinis own them and David Bell is manager.    De La Cruz is fun, but his career will be wasted on this team.
    • Am I reading this correct?   You think Ballard’s seat gets hot if the Colts don't win the AFC South?  Really?   So if the Colts don’t win the south but make the playoffs Ballard’s seat still gets hot?    Just making sure I understand your viewpoint.
