Colts Vs. Pats Flexed [Merge]

With the Colts winless and Peyton Manning-less, the NFL already has decided to move the Dec. 4 game off "Sunday Night Football" under its flexible scheduling policy. The league will decide on a replacement by Nov. 22. The NFL said Tuesday that the game at New England now would be shown at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

The upcoming Colts vs. Pats game scheduled for prime time has been dumped in to regulars time because of the Colts. Oh, the humiliation of being a really bad team. I heard some sports broadcasters explaining why the defense is so bad despite Manning being on offense; The reason they agreed on is because they are always on the field!!! This is getting worse by the minute.

Although it's statistically improbable,it would be sweet if the Colts pulled off a upset here.3 game losing streak for Pats would be great. The Giants game was classic,Brady showed his true colors again. :D

I don't know, they're 5-3 and are almost as bad defensively as the Colts are.

Is Brady carrying them as Manning has apparently done with the Colts? Where's our resident Patriots fans?

I would love it if the Colts pull out a miracle and win, and then it is declared the greatest game ever NOT played in primetime.

    • I voted the 49ers in the poll by the way. Eagles about to get a taste of their medicine come Sunday.
    • Didn’t he say in a press conference that the QB carousel was on him? Perhaps I’m mistaken.   But no doubt he has always valued their input. It just seems like lately he’s been approaching personnel decisions differently than he has been in the past. From FA, the draft, veteran players, etc…And it could be a team thing. Maybe he’s told everyone that the way they scout needs to change.
    • I agree   In the offseason, in the draft, there is an awesome DT/DE that would fill this role   Zerhan Newton lines up at DE as well as DT  for Ill  Some mocks have him lasting until 21.   The guy seems to be a Aaron Donald clone.  VERY tough to block and one of the leaders in pressures in college football.  We could get the needed WR1 in round 2 (We would have to trade up a bit)   If this isnt the route than THIS is the year to get a FA DE, as we have our QB and LT of the future on rookie contracts
    • I see the Cowboys squeaked 1 out last night. I bet Jerry needed a strong Scotch during that 4th Qtr. Against the better teams I have noticed the Cowboys defense is basically above average and not really even good. It is great against pee-on teams.
    • A deeper look at the stats tell a more somewhat alarming story. Colts are only 3 sacks away from being in third place, and only 5 sacks away from being in 16th place.  We're in the middle of a large group that's Fair to Good. However, when it comes to individual performances, our best player is tied for 23rd. The bottom line is that we have a lot of guys that are "pretty good", but nobody who is "dangerous".  We have nobody that puts fear into the hearts of the opposition.  That will beat your best guy, regardless of scheme, regardless of down and distance, regardless of blitz package, regardless of anything. I'm happy we're doing as well as we are.  But I'm also aware of the fact that we can improve.  We really should improve.   Side note:  I also can't help but see that Denico Autry, the guy we didn't want to give a big contract for, and instead let him walk in 2021 while we drafted Paye and Odeyingbo, has 8 sacks so far this year.  While Paye and Odeyingbo have 5.5 and 6.5 each.  I know this is off-topic a little bit, but if we had simply signed Autry, we could have drafted OT Darrisaw and TE Freiermuth that year, and would be a lot better off.   The bottom line is, we've been struggling to recover from our disastrous 2019 DE draft choices, and our poor 2021 Denico Autry choice ever since.  We've gotten "pretty good" guys, but have paid the price for it.
