Some teams may allow fans to order cheerleaders to their seats.

Apparently if you buy a premium ticket you might be able to do this next season.  What could possibly go wrong with this??

So far I'm glad I havn't seen the Colt's name associated with this idea.

Honestly I think it's a terrible idea.  I'd be more ok with a pre-game meet and greet with the cheerleaders being sold as a part of the package or something like that.  But having them come to an individual's seat just seems to be asking for trouble.

Bad idea on several levels.

Maybe they can take pictures briefly with a security and photographer escort and that is the extent of it.

I just think if they want to sell this as part of their package, just have them do it pre-game down on the field where they meet and greet them and maybe take a picture with the squad.

That way there is more people around, they havn't had the chance yet to drink any beers.

And plus the whole environment is just different.  Ordering a cheerleader to your seat is gonna make a lot of dudes who are liquored up start thinking that they are there for something more then just to shake your hand and say hi.  That's an entirely different thing from being on the field and saying "oh here's our cheerleader squad. . . shake hands, say hi, get a quick picture."

Football and night club? 2 in one???

Cheerleaders aren't escorts.

Sorry, this is a bad idea.

This is exactly my feelings.  And I'm no internet white knight at all.  But at the same time everyone knows that sending them up into the stands to say hi to a fan who ordered her to his seat is going to lead to girls getting groped as a regular occurrence.

They are already there as eye candy (which is an aspect of the NFL I understand but don't really condone), it's just going to invite fan misbehavior.

I understand the cheerleaders are a part of the NFL entertainment package but I go to a game to watch the game.  I'm sure the girls have much more on their minds (their routines) than trying to meet people as an added distraction.  I think it's unfair to the girls and a bad situation to put them in.  There are other opportunities to meet the cheerleaders like the fanfests.  This is a bit much imo.

So much for the family image of the NFL if this happens.......Good old God fearing USA!!!!

Glad to see that a lot of the guys here don't like this idea though. Kudos to you men.

BTW if this happens.....well I suppose we can petition to allow Eric Decker or Tom Brady to dance in their underwear for female fans at specific games.

Truly disgusting.  When we talk about greed and selfishness in the NFL it's usually referring to the players and I'm not sure that's remotely fair.  This story is a prime example of how low some owners will go to make a buck.  I don't care how much money you have or how hard you worked to earn it (or inherit it), you should have some class and show respect for the people you employ. This "clever idea" to promote premium ticket sales demonstrates neither of those things.

I don't see the big deal. They would probably meet the cheerleaders pre game and snap a couple pictures and that's about it. You guys are acting like the cheerleader goes to the drunk holding up the most cash in the 4th quarter.

Girls in cheerleaders outfits and fans who have been fueled up for hours..

..Bad, bad  idea.....the girls aren't waitresses and fans can be drunks....

Management doesn't need this headache

My point, exactly Double B...

waitresses do have to serve the public.....

cheerleaders don't...That's not what they're paid for...and 'serving' shouldn't be added to their job description..

I think you may be making more our of this than what it is. Not every fan is a drunken *. These willbe meet and greets with premium seat holders. The cheerleaders already make visits to the luxury suites throughout the game. I'm not sure if they will make more money for this, but if they do i think the girls will be all for it

maybe they need a union, too

would never happen, they can always find more beautiful woman to come and be a cheerleader.  They don't do it for the money, they do it for the exposure and to advance their professional careers as dancers, models, etc.

If they unionize, they'll all be fired and the NFL will just host an open cheerleader tryout to bring in another 20 or so girls to use as eye candy during the game.

I'll take two beers, a couple of hotdogs and that brunette

This story is missing music

I doubt sexual harassment will be an issue

"Fans will even be able to arrange for cheerleaders to come up to their seats for a meet and greet... a birthday message."  Just what exactly does "meet & greet" mean? & if any glitter is involved SW1 is outta here.

Clever posts here. Thanks for making me ROTF with laughter though jvan & bogie.

Welp, time to find a new sport to watch once all those sexual harassment lawsuits shut the NFL down

Maybe I'll become a hockey fan, watch the actual game instead of just the fights haha

"Honey, how come you never ask me to come to stadium games with you anymore & where do these redhead strands of hair keep coming from on your sweatshirts anyway? Did the food vendors hire an influx of new ginger haired food people or what?"

"I plead the 5th my dear. I have no desire to self incriminate myself." Just Kidding!

I do not like it.  ridiculous...enough said...

Puppy pole dancing is enough.

Puppy pole dancing must be an epidemic catastrophe of monumental proportions Brent. SW1 had no idea. Is that why Bob Barker, the former TV game host of the "Price Is Right," always encouraged his viewing audience to get their pets spayed or neutered? Only teasing!  haha

Fair is fair Jules. Eye candy flows both ways for both genders. If this practice did become commonplace in the NFL, women have as much right to enjoy their own visual scenery as the men do. I'm all for equality of the sexes. LOL!

Hard to believe that this is the same league that raised such a fake outrage fuss over that Janet Jackson wardrobe SB halftime malfunction several years ago now isn't it?

Who wouldn't want to be seen on the jumbotron with a colts cheerleader on their lap and a disgusted wife staring at us with daggers in her eyes?  That's going to go over well when I get home.

More like the recipient of several shot gun shells to my torso or tied to a chair in an abandoned shed in the woods with a thunderous C4 explosion actually.

Translation: Most husbands who participated in this activity would never make it home alive period. All you can do is pray for a quick demise before you leave the parking lot.
