sorry but i don't celebrate genocide of the native American people.......

Yes, they were the original inhabitants of this country who were taken from their lands by fraudulent treaties courtesy of the federal government, but eventually their sovereign nation status helped tribal nations rectify/level the economic playing field with state compacts & gambling casinos.

Does it erase decades of mistreatment? No, but it does allow tribes a chance to become self reliant & self sufficient within their own distinct communities.

Its been a long time since i enjoyed a real thanksgiving meal. I prepared a meatloaf instead with all the other sides. Living in maoberry has its drawbacks. The dang turkey is bigger than my oven, but next year i'll build a traditional oven, even though its electric.

If you want to go that route you probably just shouldn't celebrate any Holliday. Perhaps you don't.

Christmas = celebrating the birth of a man/god who was tortured and killed.

Fourth of July = Celebrating independence from Great Britian in which an incredible amount of people where killed on both sides.

Halloweeen = celebrating the dead, saints, martyrs and the likes.....

Kind of get the drift?
