Where is this coach of the year stuff coming from?

Prolly something to do with having a killer offense and one of the best Ds in the league in his very first year as a HC and taking a garbage team that has sucked like 4 years in a row and is now winning with one of the youngest teams in the league not sure if I covered everything but I got most of it

Those losses on our record?

His fingerprints are all ober most of them.

There is 0 actual consideration for him to get coach of the year, and very little for it even in this poll.

Hes better than we’re used to, but let’s not gloss over some of the rough patches.

I've heard 3-4 people in the media mention it in just the past few days, saying it's between Frank and Nagy.

I imagine Nagy will get it.

0? Really? I don't think he's gonna win (probably gonna go to Nagy), but I think it's wrong to say he's gotten no consideration.

There's literally been articles and analysts praising him for COTY

Reich may not win.   Nit sure he finishes 2nd.    But he will get some consideration.   He likely will get some votes.

Look at this thread.    There actually IS consideration for Frank even if you don’t believe it.

Two of the Colt's losses, Houston and Jacksonville (division losses no less), are squarely on the shoulders of Coach Reich due to poor coaching decisions he made. I'm not saying he's not doing a very good job, especially for first year head coach, but there is no way he should be considered for Coach of the Year.

GM for Chicago will most likely win Executive of the year for the trades, hiring of Nagy and their recent draft picks.  All three helped win them their division already this year.  I would love to see Frank get Coach of the year.  I believe he has, by far, done the most with what was believed to be one of the worst rosters at the beginning of the season.  But in the end the teams record will mean the most to the voters.  I think Frank will be 2nd. Bears sweep both awards. Nagy wins it.

Don’t sleep on Anthony Lynn of the Chargers winning coach of the year.  That 2 point conversion to win the game was HUGE.  It garnered a lot of attention.  I can see Lynn or Nagy 1 or 2 depending on how the Chargers finish & Frank probably 3rd.

Ballard should have the GM award sowed up.  The Bears GM should be 2nd.

Yeah. I think Lynn may get it too.

Should win and will win are two different questions.

Remember, at the beginning of the season it was widely thought we had the worst roster in the league.

Now when I listen to the NFL Channel I hear a lot of ‘dangerous team’ and ‘team you don’t want to face in the playoffs’.

I’d say that’s accurate. Chris did some major churning of the roster not to mention the draft. If all things are considered... youth, new and first time in position staff, and early injuries... I think they both get plenty of votes with Chris winning and Frank getting a nice honorable mention. Chicago’s staff did a great job too and deserves a tip of the hat.

Ballard is a strong EOTY candidate and Reich is a strong COTY candidate, but Nagy will most likely win, barring a deep playoff run by us and a blunder by the Bears. Reid is also getting a lot of buzz as well since KC has been an offensive juggernaut.

If the season ended today, it would be Ballard and Nagy (his GM Pace is also a strong contender for EOTY too).

For those dinging Reich for the early losing streak, the way they came out of that and have become a potential playoff team speaks volumes to a high quality coach. It's easy to ride a way of positivity and a win streak. It's not so easy to get your new team to stay bought in after going 1-5 and come back like they have.

I think both should be in the top 2 of consideration, but much like with Leonard when you are an "also ran" schedule wise you don't get many prime time national games to showcase your wears, and are often overlooked nationwide due to lack of exposure.....hopefully there are enough in the know in the places that matter to get some attention.

They have Luck.

They have T.Y. Hilton.

They have... welp, that's about it.

They had one of the league's worst offenses and defenses last year, and they've done very little to improve on either side of the football."
