Your no trade mock would be very nice.

The mock with a trade would still be very nice but I might sub a few different positions in, just not sure why SF would want to move up with us?

Traded back with SF (who apparently really wanted Chubb).  Stayed in the top ten and gained a second and third round pick.  Traded their third to move back and gain another third.

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 9 (S.F.):  Edmunds, Tremaine, OLB, Virginia Tech (A-)
Round 2 Pick 4:  Hernandez, Will, OG, Texas-El Paso (A)
Round 2 Pick 5:  Jackson, Josh, CB, Iowa (A-)
Round 2 Pick 17:  Green, Rasheem, DE, Southern California (A)
Round 2 Pick 27 (S.F.):  Cain, Deon, WR, Clemson (B+)
Round 3 Pick 3:  Penny, Rashaad, RB, San Diego State (A)
Round 3 Pick 15 (ARI):  Edmunds, Terrell, SS, Virginia Tech (B+)
Round 3 Pick 33 (ARI):  Brown, Orlando, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 4 Pick 4:  Leonard, Darius, OLB/ILB, South Carolina State (B+)
Round 5 Pick 3:  Gallup, Michael, WR, Colorado State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 4:  Mataafa, Hercules, OLB, Washington State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 3:  Joseph, Michael, CB, Dubuque (A+)

Move Terrell Edmunds to weak-side linebacker, move Mata'afa to defensive end, and this draft would be great for our defense!

DE: Sheard, Basham

DT: Anderson, Ridgeway

DT: Woods, Stewart

DE: Green, Autry, Mata'afa

SLB: Tremaine Edmunds, Simon

MLB: Leonard, Walker Jr

WLB: Terrell Edmunds, George

CB1: Wilson, Desir

CB2: Jackson, Joseph

CB3: Hairston

FS: Hooker

SS: Geathers, Farley

And our offense would be much improved too!

QB: Luck, Brissett

RB: Mack, Penny, Michael, Jones

LT: Castonzo, Vuj

LG: Mewhort, Haeg

C: Kelly, Bond

RG: Hernandez, Slauson

RT: Brown, Good

TE: Doyle, Ebron, Swoope

WR1: Hilton (plays slot)

WR2: Cain, Grant

WR3: Gallup, Rogers

I was using First Pick and that was the available trade that even remotely made sense. I was hoping to get the option for a Buffalo trade down, but it didn't happen.

You might be asking why Apke is at OLB when they have him at SS well I think he is a great candidate to be a hybrid S/OLB

i have thought about doing one like this on first pick but have not got around to it yet

in the real world this would be too many rookies for one team, plus we have a rookie coach.  it would probably be a disaster

GAME OVER!

Round 1 Pick 8 (CHI):  Chubb, Bradley, DE, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 1 Pick 9 (S.F.):  Edmunds, Tremaine, OLB/ILB, Virginia Tech (A-)

Round 6 Pick 7 (CHI):  Mataafa, Hercules, OLB, Washington State (A)
Round 7 Pick 3:  Joseph, Michael, CB, Dubuque (A)

So I don't remember exactly how this happened, but I did trade away our 2019 first (I think I traded back with Buffalo and then traded back up).  This is an extremely unrealistic draft haul, but it would be AWESOME!

Line is set with Castonzo, Price, Kelly, Hernandez, McGlinchey with Mewhort and Slauson filling in as depth

We get Penny to pair with Mack

We get Cain, Gallup, and Lazard to team up with Hilton and Grant

D-Line gets the premier DE from the draft in Chubb and Mata'afa and Bilal for depth

Linebackers get three new starters in Edmunds, Warner, and Griffin

We get Davis, Toliver, and Joseph who could all be great Tampa 2 corners

Just had an idea thinking about the whole SF Trade opportunity....

Trade back w/ SF adding a 2nd, 3rd and 3rd next year....

1. Denzel Ward, CB

2. Joshua Jackson, CB

2. Rashaan Evans, LB

2. Derrius Guice, RB

2. Arden Key, DE

3. Malik Jackson, LB

3. Braden Smith, OG

4. Braden Parker, OT

5. Eddie Wilson, DT

6. Korey Robinson, WR

Builds a monster defensive core with Jackson, Ward, Wilson and Hooker which will be elite in a year or two and should dominate for the next 10 years...

Also adds lots of athleticism to the LB corpse with Jackson and Evans, both with a little position flexibility, takes a risk on Key but it could pay off big. All while adding Guice (elite runner) and Smith/Parker (potential to both start next year at a high level).

The DB and LB corpse on this draft has be in love.

Here's my dream scenario draft for the Colts...

Ballard trades 6th overall pick to Buffalo for their 12th, 22nd overall picks, their 96th overall pick, and 2019 2nd round pick

Round 1 Pick 12 (BUF):  Smith, Roquan, ILB/OLB, Georgia
Round 1 Pick 22 (BUF):  Bryan, Taven, DT, Florida
Round 2 Pick 4:  Hernandez, Will, OG, Texas-El Paso
Round 2 Pick 5:  Carter, Lorenzo, DE/OLB, Georgia

Round 2 Pick 17:  Davis, Carlton, CB, Auburn
Round 3 Pick 3:  Penny, Rashaad, RB, San Diego State
Round 3 Pick 36 (BUF):  Gallup, Michael, WR, Colorado State
Round 4 Pick 4:  Leonard, Darius, OLB/ILB, South Carolina State
Round 5 Pick 3:  Parker, Brandon, OT, North Carolina AT
Round 6 Pick 4:  Wilson, Cedrick, WR, Boise State
Round 7 Pick 3:  Nickerson, Parry, CB, Tulane

Analysis for 2018 season - Ballard gets help all over the roster with this draft. He gets impact LBs in Roquan Smith and Darius Leonard, an impact pass rushing DT in Taven Bryan, a potential great OG in Hernandez, a pass rusher in Lorenzo Carter with a very high ceiling, a talented and lengthy corner in Davis to play opposite Wilson, a talented RB in Penny to split carries with Mack, an underrated WR in Gallup who I compare to a poor man's Anquan Boldin, an underrated RT prospect in Parker, and depth at WR and CB in getting Cedrick Wilson and Parry Nickerson.

Analysis for 2019 Draft - Ballard now has the following draft picks to play with: 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Ballard has another draft where he can continue to replenish the roster with young talented players with the 2018 and 2019 drafts.

Two first round trade backs loading up on 2nd round picks and one trade back in the 3rd round.

With the exception of Lamar Jackson, which was simply a move for points (although I wouldn't complain to have 2 solid backup qbs like NE two seasons ago) I felt like there is a healthy balance of Offensive line, skilled positions and defensive need for us. I only drafted one corner, because if Ward was our pick, adding a few undrafted ones after would be all we need for decent depth and upgrade.

No big problem with this except I would sub Wynn for a T since you already got Nelson, unless you're drafting him to be a T instead.

Perhaps my favorite mock and I'd be thrilled if it happens...

That said..   I don't think it's realistic...

I think all three of our second round picks could go in the first round.

I think our third round pick could go in the second, and our fourth round pick could go in the third.

Hard to believe ALL or even most of those things could go our way.    I hope they do, but I think it's a long shot...

Yeah, those are for fun mainly... I doubt all of them will be there to be picked, but the more of those I do the more i am loving those second rounders we got and the more I like the options we will have there. If it's not those that fall, some other quality players will be there for us to pick. Here's one more with Tony Pauline's board(I picked Nelson over Chubb on purpose, just to have a bit of a different draft:

From First-Pick:

Round 1 Pick 10 (OAK):  Smith, Roquan, OLB, Georgia - My current draft crush. Smith is the perfect WILL for our new scheme and is an absolute game wrecker if he's allowed to flow in space. As long as an OL doesn't get their hands on him, he's making a play.WILL isn't a glamour position, but it'75 s an important one in our scheme and Smith would be a day 1 starter.
Round 2 Pick 4:  Hernandez, Will, OG, Texas-El Paso - Should be able to start from day 1 to help solidify the interior OL.
Round 2 Pick 5:  Hubbard, Sam, DE, Ohio State - Not a high end pass rusher, but he'll get 6-8 sacks a year and play the run well.
Round 2 Pick 9 (OAK):  Jackson, Josh, CB, Iowa - A perfect CB for our scheme and an absolute ball-hawk.
Round 2 Pick 22 (K.C.):  Penny, Rashaad, RB, San Diego State - One of the most complete backs in the draft. Still needs to work on pass protection, but most college RB's do.
Round 3 Pick 3:  Pettis, Dante, WR, Washington - My other draft crush. Catches everything, runs beautiful routes, and can play both inside and outside. Perfect Possession WR to compliment TY.
Round 3 Pick 11 (OAK):  Turay, Kemoko, DE, Rutgers - I think he could be a really good pass rusher in a year or 2.
Round 3 Pick 22 (K.C.):  Bates III, Jessie, FS, Wake Forest - Really good coverage Safety that can also play in the slot.
Round 4 Pick 4:  Jones, Jamarco, OT, Ohio State - RT of the future at the very least.
Round 5 Pick 3:  McIntosh, RJ, DT, Miami - Needs to get stronger, but could be a really disruptive DT that can kick outside to DE if needed.
Round 6 Pick 4:  Mataafa, Hercules, DE, Washington State - Can't pass him up this late.
Round 7 Pick 3:  DeLuca, Nick, ILB, North Dakota State - Not super athletic, has an injury history, and needs to work on tackling, but one of the most instinctive LB's in this draft.

Trades:

Our Pick 6 for OAK's 10, 41 (2nd Rd, Pick 9), and 75 (3rd Rd, Pick 11).

Our Pick 49 (2nd Rd, Pick 17) for KC's 54 (2nd Rd, Pick 22) and 86 (3rd Rd, Pick 22).

I'm not sure the 2 trades are entirely probable, but if even part of this draft happened, I would lose my mind.

Another unrealistic draft here, but trading back for high and trading up for low can get you a TON of picks on First-Pick:

Your Team: Indianapolis Colts
GAME OVER!
Your score is: 21775 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 7 (T.B.):  Chubb, Bradley, DE, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 1 Pick 9 (S.F.):  Edmunds, Tremaine, OLB/ILB, Virginia Tech (A-)
Round 1 Pick 20 (DET):  Vander Esch, Leighton, OLB/ILB, Boise State (A-)
Round 1 Pick 31 (N.E.):  Hernandez, Will, OG, Texas-El Paso (A-)
Round 2 Pick 15 (ARI):  Guice, Derrius, RB, LSU (A+)
Round 2 Pick 17:  Davis, Carlton, CB, Auburn (A)
Round 2 Pick 25 (TENN):  Oliver, Isaiah, CB, Colorado (A-)
Round 3 Pick 1 (BUF):  Pettis, Dante, WR, Washington (A-)
Round 3 Pick 3:  Penny, Rashaad, RB, San Diego State (B+)
Round 3 Pick 14 (K.C.):  Smith, Braden, OG, Auburn (B+)
Round 3 Pick 16 (HOU):  Edmunds, Terrell, SS, Virginia Tech (B+)
Round 3 Pick 21 (CAR):  Hill, BJ, DT, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 32 (BUF):  Brown, Orlando, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 3 Pick 35 (DEN):  Warner, Fred, OLB, Brigham Young (A-)
Round 4 Pick 8 (NYG):  Gallup, Michael, WR, Colorado State (A)
Round 5 Pick 12 (DEN):  Nichols, Bilal, DT, Delaware (A-)
Round 6 Pick 4:  Scales, Tegray, ILB, Indiana (A+)
Round 7 Pick 3:  Joseph, Michael, CB, Dubuque (A)

I traded back with Chicago for #8 plus a second and a third, then traded a second and next years first to get #7.  Then I traded #8 to get Buffalo's two firsts, and traded #22 and two seconds to get #9.  I traded #12 back twice to get more.  After that, it all kinda blurs together.  I started reaching for players I like out of boredom and a desire for the whole exercise to end.  We basically get a whole new defense, though!  And our offense also gets a ridiculous infusion of talent!

DE: Chubb, Basham

DT: Woods, Hill

DT: Anderson, Ridgeway, Nichols

DE: Sheard, Autry

SLB: Tremaine Edmunds, Simon, Goode

MLB: Vander-Esch, Scales

We'd have to give up next year's first and endure a crazy couple days for the draft, but I would be ridiculously excited for the next season after this unrealistic haul.

I'm not sure if some of the picks will be there, but if the Colts landed this draft, I'd be happy.  Good draft, fills a lot of needs.

Here's a draft on Rigsdon's board on Fanspeak.  I went with solidifying the OL and LB positions, got a solid CB, RB, and WR.  Couldn't fill all our needs, but I value protecting Luck over getting an elite pass rusher, with being in a rebuild, use next year's draft to get pass rushers while letting Basham, Sheard, and the new picks develop.  I think Eberflus can manufacture a pass rush with strong LB play.

Here's my 2.0: We trade back with the Bills in exchange for both their firsts, and a second. We also send them our third rounder to even out the unbalanced points

1.1: Derwin James, S, FSU: The more I look into this guy, the more I want him. We're going back to a 4-3, and we all know how important the safety play is in a 4-3. Paired with Hooker, this secondary is starting to get nasty

1.2: Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State: No brainer pick. One of the better LB's in the draft. Day one starter.

2.1: Will Hernandez, G, UTEP: Protect the QB

2.2: Jaire Alexander, CB, Lousville: He's honestly my favorite CB in the draft, and he seems to be falling in a lot of mocks I've seen. That's good for us. Very instinctive CB with ballhawk type hands. Easy pick.

2.3: Connor Williams, T, Texas: He may, and probably won't be here at this pick, but it seems to me he's falling down boards as well. Protect the QB.

2.4: Maurice Hurst, DT, Michigan: Health concerns may cause him to drop this far, and that would be a godsend for us. If he's gone, Adren Key from LSU is my pick here

4.1: Shaquem Griffin. LB, UCF: I firmly believe Griffin can be an instant starter a WILL for us. He's an amazing story, and would still love to see him in the blue and white

5, 6, 7: BPA
