Darrell Bevell as Colts coach?

Bevell just got let go by the Seahawks. The question is, would he be up for a OC job with us? Hire Wilks or Toub as HC and then let Bevell run the offense? He did some good things with Russell Wilson, could be a good pickup. Only a year ago, people were talking like he would be a HC. Thoughts?

After much fan outcry for his firing, Seattle has parted Ways with their Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell.

I have read where Colts GM Chris Ballard has close ties to Bevell.

When the Bears were searching to a new GM in 2015 there was mention of a Ballard (GM) / Bevell (HC) package.

Here is a piece by Gregg Doyle where he mentions Bevell as a possible HC candidate for the Colts:

...When Chris Ballard was catching passes at Wisconsin in the early 1990s, his quarterback was Darrell Bevell – now the Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator. Maybe Bevell gets this job...

Seattle has started firing coaches, Perhaps under my theory, Seahawks O-Line coach Tom Cable could reemerge and be brought over along with Bevell to Indy?

Could Bevell be in the picture? (I hope not!)

Who made the SB call, him or Carroll?

If people never got over the fake punt against the Patriots, whoever made that call should wear a scarlet letter the rest of their lives.

BTW, Wilson has been sacked about as much as our QBs the last few years.  Just sayin.

Seems like Seahawks fans are not at all sorry to see him go:

Been waiting for Bevell to be fired for a while now

Gonna break out some home brew right now to celebrate!

Thanks for the first few years, but please take the Bevell screen and the 3rd and 12 run plays with you.

Good Luck!

Here is a stat that Colts fans certainly won't like:

...Seattle's offense struggled to find consistency all year. They were notoriously slow starters, failing to score an opening drive touchdown all year and holding a halftime lead in just four of their 16 games.

Please God no!! The Seahawks offense was putrid... yes Russel played well but no one else did.  Also, can we stop with the Toub talk?  He’s not even been interviewed.  I said from the beginning that was a connection made by the media. He’s not going to be the coach.

So we get rid of a coach that couldn't score in the second half for one that can't in the first......PROBLEM SOLVED!!! lol What I want to happen and what will is certain to be two different things...but I'd like to get this team a staff that has a track record of success and will provide consistency and accountability throughout the team.
