Imagine...

I know it's probably already been summarized, and no worth crying over spilled milk, but I was just thinking...

24th overall pick in 2013: Björn Werner

25th overall-Xavier Rhodes, 31st-Travis Frederick, 36th-Darius Slay

Traded 26th in 2014 for T-Rich:

29th-Dominique Easley, 27th-Deone Buchanan, 35th-Joel Bitonio, 31st-Bradley Roby

2015 1st (29th): Phillip Dorsett

Plausible picks: 33rd-Landon Collins(who I thought we were gonna draft when he fell that far), 39th-Eddie Goldman, 30th-Damorious Randall, 35th-Mario Edwards

Imagine a secondary with Collins, Hooker, Xavier Rhodes, and Darius Slay/Bradley Roby with Clayton Geathers and Deone Buchanan playing box safety/hybrid linebacker. All younger than 26.

yea i for sure thought we were going to draft Rhodes i was psyched he had dropped to us, when i heard Bjoern Werner i was like "who the heck is that" lol. Also the Dorsett over Landon Collins was a mind boggler and i cant decide if its more mind boggling than the Trich trade. Man im glad we got rid of Grigson lol.

1 × Time Machine, one careful owner

What about one VERY used Time Machine with one not-so-careful owner?

I mean, my grandson borrowed it a few times, but it runs great once you get the flux-capacitor going.

I'll throw in a few Cher cassette tapes, too.  You'll probably have to use the Time Machine to actually find a Cher vinyl...

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

they'd probably all be on the IR list and not playing knowing our luck

That secondary would be been impossible to assemble.

It was:

Rhodes or Slay

Roby or Buchanan

You couldn't have all of them. My personal picks were and still would be Rhodes (I lost my everlovering mind when he was there and we didn't pick him), Bitonio (wasn't even an option given the trade, but I really liked him as a prospect), and Eric Kendricks.

Imange the Colts draft Ryan Leaf and not Peyton Manning and repeat it by taking RG3 and not Luck...

no one likes to play those what if games...

we we all get it Grigson got one first round pick right while he was here and that was Luck.  That’s a large reason why he’s not here anymore.  Sorry I don’t think Irsay is going to hire him again so he can fire him again.

Cody Whitehair instead of trading down for TJ Green :(   That was a big disappointment for me during the draft.  Even bigger now.

I was thinking Hopkins at 24 instead of BW at the time.

That one is extremely upsetting. They reached hard on a guy who's just an athlete. Had a real chance to rebuild the line.

    • My apologies.  I was simply venting.
    • Yes. All the quotes about the diabetes, about him being uncoachable and immature link to that article, but those exact parts are now removed(and possibly replaced by the stuff about his combine?!? Since I don't see the quotes about his combine in any of the pieces that link to that article. Which is super weird. )   Again ... Unless we are not seeing some hidden article. To me it looks like it was redacted at some point after and the diabetes/uncoachable/immature things got replaced by the combine performance stuff.
    • It says more to me about the scouts putting that tag on him.     Also remember Colts didn’t want him too bad or they would not of traded down. So in some sense maybe colts bought into some of these false stories. Or maybe it could have just been his lack of production at Texas. If he had stayed at Georgia he might of went higher. But he also did the right thing by transferring so he could be near his daughter.
    • Why are you talking to me like I wrote the article or voiced the opinion?     Simply was trying to find the article or info that was being asked about.
    • I don't think there's anything wrong with McGinn's report, or with unnamed sources. We love these anonymous insights when we agree with them, it's only when there's some dissonance that we start complaining about unnamed sources.    It seems factual that AD Mitchell has had some challenges with managing his diabetes, and that it has affected the way he presents himself and interacts with other people. It's also had an affect on how he practices. And there's nothing particularly surprising about that. Everyone has been "hangry" before, and everyone has experienced a food coma. Diabetics can experience extremes of those two feelings, and it can happen very quickly. Once you put it into context, it's just something AD and his circle will have to manage meticulously. And the Colts feel confident that he can do that, which is all I really care about.   So the reports bringing this information to light don't really bother me. What makes these reports look worse is the way they get aggregated. Because it's the most sensational soundbites that get snipped and spread around the Internet, and then we don't seek out the full context or try to understand what's actually being said. In McGinn's report, even the source that was most harsh in speaking about AD followed up with good things about him. But all that sticks is 'unnamed source drags AD Mitchell,' and then everyone runs with it.   There might be smear campaigns at times. Sometimes people push negative information to serve an agenda. And really, fans and media fuel the fire, in a variety of ways. So I understand Ballard's frustration, and I think he was right to defend his player. I also think it's obvious from AD's recent quotes that Ballard's choice to go after these sources endeared Ballard and the Colts to AD, which is a good thing. And now AD has to prove Ballard and the Colts right, which is a good thing.
