Did the boat trip cost the giants?

Who knows but reports post game are that Odell banged his head against a door and punched a hole in the wall.

HEADCASE.

And earlier this year he beat up on a poor innocent net at a game.

Total baby.

I believe he lost the fight with the net.

Imo it was a distraction and that is not when you need when you preparing for any game let alone a playoff game

It wasn't a distraction. Odell had a bad game when he cannot have a bad game. Team basically lives and die by Odell. If he's not spectacular, Giants usually lose.

The G-Men scored less than 20 points for the last six games of the season. "When you're hot your hot, when you're not your not."   Beckham put his head through a wall after the game. Well, at least he was successful at that. Clutch performance OBJ!!

The early drops from him and Shepard did not help, but if you think what they did on Monday hurt the following Sunday you're nuts. Horrific special teams; short punts, giving up big returns on the occasional longer punt, fair catching at the 6 yard line, Rainey brain farting and stepping out on the 3. Rainey on 3rd and 1. DRC's injury led to Eli Apple playing (not well), the absurdity of the hail mary (that Odell should have been on the field to defend). Stupidy of people standing around a live football after Mathews forced a fumble. The boat trip will be the narrative though.

Whether it did or not, it certainly wasn't a good look.  They did nothing on Sunday to help themselves with their play.  They will have the rest of the off season to ponder on things.

Exactly it's not the fact of if the party caused the problem or not, it's the impression that it gives.

A pro athlete should probably stay quiet and at home during his season.  Because if you have just one bad game your activities will be blamed.

Shoot remember a while back when people blamed Tony Romo's poor play on him dating attractive women?

Tony Romo went on vacation with Jessica Simpson during a bye week, that's why he got ripped. Brady got ripped this year too for going on vaca during the first month but he has earned that.

Everyone isn't going to be home relaxing w their families all season, they are human too and have to let lose after work (plus they have money). The Cowboys basically had a house set up to do all that garbage in the 90's (a different kind of white house). Do whatever you want but a pic like that is terrible optics, and losing the way they did yesterday makes it worse.

nahh, GreenBay is clearly the better team, but if the boys from the Giants want to party on their day off and "party hard" then they need to back it up and "play hard", which they didnt , Beckham had multiple drops that could have kept the Giants in the game, he is the most overrated receiver in the league.

He had 100 catches for over 1300 yards and 10 tds.   He had a bad day,  It happens.

Your line about the net & OBJ suggests you are being sarcastic in order to lighten the mood & provide comic relief Jules.

OBJ is young & maybe has a problem with impulse control sure, but I love the kid's competitive desire to win.

I do agree though, OBJ needs an authority figure in the Giants locker room who can calm him down & teach him how to keep his emotions in check when games are on the line.

Yes.

It's the playoffs and you spend your week preparing by taking a flight down to southern Florida to party it up at clubs and go out on a boat? You don't see the Pats or Packers doing this. You celebrate after you win it, not before.

The Giants acted incredibly arrogant before this game. Trash talking the Patriots about how they didn't want to see them again. The comments about Green Bay too. Just cause you beat both these teams in '07 and '11 don't mean nothing now. It's a new year, and you don't have any of those same players from those old teams, so forget bragging. It was proven that the Giants defense this year was incredibly overrated. This wasn't the defenses of the past.

Odell dropped 4 passes in the first quarter that cost the Giants. They could have been up 14-0 early on and dominating that game.

Tavarres King had the best game yesterday of the Giants receivers. Guess what? He was the only one who didn't go out to Miami to party on playoff weekend. :mindblow:

Odell is a locker room cancer. I'm starting to wonder if Coughlin left because he didn't want to put up with this anymore. Odell revealed himself to be a punk the minute he rammed himself helmet to helmet into Josh Norman last year. If you watch the Giants regularly, he was getting fined back and forth early in the season for slapping around defensive backs and getting into shoving matches with them.

Kicking nets, punching holes in walls, I hope the Giants keep this guy forever. He offers great headlines when they lose.

So kicking a net and punching a wall now makes him a cancer to the team? lmao do you just read headlines then make posts? He's breaking records, he's a great wr. He's a young dude who gets too mad still, but by far not a cancer. I'd trade ty hilton in a second for odell.
