You punish the guy who is the leader when it comes to something like this.  It's possible Brady didn't notice, again the officials didn't notice it until the Colts pointed it out to them.  I highly doubt it was Brady's idea and I really doubt Brady did it.  This screams the head coach or something higher up ordering this.  They are the ones with the power to make this happen.  The starting QB, even if it's Brady, doesn't have the power to make this kind of thing happen.

BB was the mind of that but Brady pulled the trigger. I wish Brady to play the SB bc without him the Pats have no chance against SEA but i want justice over this matter.

Now we will see what the commish will do. It is the 2nd time they have been caught using unethical actions this season alone. The deal with the Ravens couldn't be used because there were no rules to cover it. That more than likely will be addressed in the next owners meetings. This is the one that should draw a huge fine and a loss of draft pick or picks. It also should include a suspension but I doubt that will happen. We will wait and see. I am glad that Brady threw a pick or they would have gotten by with it. I didn't care too much for the Patriots but this makes me absolutely hate them. I know there is nothing we can do but I will not debate or tolerate any more Pats fans in this forum talking smack. I know it is not much but my ignore switch will be busy. It's the only way I can say my displeasure.

The block feature has been my best friend since Sunday.

What does it take to get Belicheak suspended? Sean Payton gets suspended an entire year for something everyone in the league does. The Pats have spygate, and now this, and of course, he still has a job and won't get suspended. That's cause one of the two golden boys of the league is in NE.

Yeah, no. The Patriots aren't getting off that easy. If you don't want to read bashing of a cheating organization, you probably shouldn't click on this thread.

The Broncos hired Gary Kukiak, anybody have any thoughts on the hire.

Go to that forum then. This is colts.com

I heard the tires on the airplane that brought Coach Kubiak to Denver were under-inflated. It's currently under investigation by the NFL. On an unrelated note the flight originated from Boston.

Wow, they'll lose draft picks. Big deal. That seems like such a weak punishment for something like this. Knowingly breaking rules (cheating) during the AFC Title game to benefit their team... That's ridiculous, whether it was needed or not.

They'll lose some picks, get fined some money and continue to be atop the AFC for the next five years anyway. Drop the hammer.

and the justice comes from BB and the organization.  Not Brady.  If you punish Brady you have to punish every player on the team and that's just unrealistic and frankly it's highly possible the players never knew any of it.

GB overinflates their balls but nobody really gives a damn, it's all about the name of the franchise.

Aaron Rodgers said the refs take air out of the ball to bring them into compliance, and he dislikes that. The Packers balls are compliant once the game starts, based on his complaint.

Although, he has a point. There's really nothing to gain by having the ball over inflated, not for a QB.

Nothing to see here, huh. You guys can't run... or hide from the fact that again your team has hurt the integrity of the sport. To hell with the outcome of one game.

If you want to talk about that you are welcomed to go start a thread on that.  I don't think that's what most people would like to discuss right now.

Anyone can say "oh they won by 38 points tho" no actually it's not that simple. What if Luck doesn't throw those two INTs and scores TDs instead. Without those two possessions the pats don't score 6-14 points. That's a potentially 28 point swing on those two possessions alone. I think it should be colts vs Ravens in Afc championship and the winner goes on.

I think don't think suspending BB would do anything .... you don't think he would just find some sneaky way to coach from the shadows??

If the NFL really wants to make sure the Pats will never cheat again they have to embarrass and punish Kraft and the Pats organization badly enough that Kraft will police BB himself.

Explain why?

Titles are removed from people for cheating, teams are disqualified. Why not in the NFL?

The NFL Network is avoiding right now, joking about it.

The reason the NFL Network is avoiding this is because what you were watching is a re-broadcast.

The news hadn't broken yet when the original episode was airing...

The show airs first at 7 o'clock in the east and the re-broadcast is 10pm...   odds are you're watching the re-broadcast...

Ok correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the game at one point get delayed because Brady didn't like the ball he had!

Easy answer, they accidentally handed Brady the one ball that wasn't under-inflated. The referee then handed Tom one of the eleven balls that met his requirements.

goodell will sweep under the rug.

Goodell doesn't just work for Kraft.  31 other Owners probably want to see something done about this as this is the second time this team has been caught red handed cheating.  Odds are that those aren't the only two times they have cheated either as it's highly unlikely they were caught cheating the only two times they did it which means who knows how much they have cheated against their team.

I think this is three cheating scandals...

1.  Was the Super Bowl.      And while found guilty,  Goodell destroyed the video tapes so no one would ever see how badly the Pats cheated.     All to protect the shield.

2.   In a regular season game vs. the NY Jets,  the Pats were found to have one of their film crews pointing their cameras at the Jets assistants to get their hand signals so the Pats would know and gain a competitive advantage.

3.   Deflate-gate.

11 of 12 balls found to have 2 pounds per square in less than the minimum required?    That's flat-out cheating!   Busted!

Hope Goodell throws the book at New England.   I don't think the Pats won because of this,  they were clearly the better team.  But Goodell can't give the Pats a slap on the wrist for this.

And, by the way,  I expect some 25 year old ball boy will fall on his sword and take one for the team.   He'll say it was all his idea and no one told him to.    Riiiiggghhht!!     Sure.     It just occurred to some dumb kid to do this and no one on the Pats even noticed.

Do people here know how this was discovered?    When D'Qwell Jackson picked off Brady he knew something was wrong with the ball.     So, a linebacker who rarely touches the ball knows it when he feels it once and Brady never knew this at all and he handles the ball on every snap?     Not a chance.     Busted as cheaters.

I will always be a Patriot fan no matter what.

Lets not forget that Refs responsibility is to check the balls 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to the game...what happened to that?

If its an NFL **** UP then they should own up to their mistake.

We will see what the NFL announces tomorrow.

The refs DID INSPECT the balls 2 hours and 15 minutes before the game.    That's not in dispute.

The balls got deflated AFTER that.    That's what makes New England guilty,  caught red-handed.

    • Once again, Latu just pops on the screen.  I know it’s just a drill, but compared to Ebukam…his movements and techniques are more fluid and crisp, and hes quicker.   https://youtube.com/shorts/k5W6CFq5ReQ?si=7DLSO-G0Gqt-5R6a
    • He's not signed, there is nothing else to talk about and I am bored.
    • Yes, I know. The Stanford teams  when Hogan was the starting QB were full of top recruits on offense and defense. It was so much fun being a fan then. I'm not as big a fan of Stanford as you are. Being on the East Coast makes it hard to follow them as much as I used to.   Overall, I am becoming less and less interested in sports. For over 20 years, I used to listen to sports radio whenever I had free time.  I used to follow tennis, golf, baseball, college basketball, a little NBA and NHL as well as NFL and college football. I once went to 20+ baseball games in a year.  The only sport I still follow religiously now is NFL football. I try to follow my favorite baseball team, the Mets, but not enough. I attribute my loss of interest to there being too much change and movement of players, coaches, teams, conferences, etc. Stanford is now part of the ACC! My goodness! (Shaking my head) I don't like all these changes in conferences.   I was a big fan of Ted Leyland, Stanford's former athletic director many years ago. It saddened me when Leyland left Stanford to go to the University of Pacific which was his alma mater. I see he retired. He hired Buddy Teevens who died last year. Back in those days, I followed Stanford football a lot more closely. They were not great years but I loved rooting for players who also excelled in the classroom.   TL;DR 😉
    • Oh I think they are ready. They are right in the thick of it. Well educated and smart women. They are more in tune with the Indianapolis Colts than all of the new ownership in the league is with their respective franchises. I'm not concerned in the least with these ladies taking over moving forward. I think it's a great thing and speaks to the stability that the organization is preaching and looking to build.
    • I'm out this year. I'm going to be focusing on my bestballs and daily fantasy. I already have $400 invested and am making a concentrated effort this year to win some money.
