I like Kurt Warner, but I'm not overjoyed at Luck being ranked #1 on his list. It's not a knock on Andrew's play on the field. It's more of a desire to not be the guy or the QB at the top.

Yes, it means that a future HOF QB who played for St. Louis & AZ thinks highly of you singing your praises. But lowered expectations vs elite expectations during only Luck's 3rd year makes me feel more comfortable because it gives a QB more room to grow & improve.

Yeah I know, it's just 5 spots & 1 NFL analysts list. I appreciate the love for Andrew from another elite QB himself. However, I don't wanna raise the bar too high on Luck as a fan myself. It's only year 3 not year 8. I prefer a patient & measured approach like a work in progress vs a finished product right here; right now.

Yeah, but Luck isn't playing like a work in progress although we know he still has quite a few things to clean up before we can confidently say he's number 1 overall, but if you look at the man's body of work 8 out of 9 games 300+ passing yards with 7 straight games (colts record) and 7 out of 9 games with at least 3 total td's it's hard to argue he isn't number 1 (obviously the turnovers stand out), but Luck's got more good than bad at this point.

In my opinion they are really the best 5 QBs this season in the NFL. Making any rank among them makes no sense.

IDK right now Big Ben and Brady are hot. Although Luck has been consistently good the whole season which probably helped him.

I think if brady hadnt done so poorly the first few games it would be a little diffrent, same with big Ben. But no one else has to the point been as consistently great

This is kurts pick through half of the season. Nothing from the past years and including all the games played so far this year. I dont really see a huge argument in it. Brady did play bad his first couple games.

If Warner was picking the best QB to make a SB run, i doubt Andrew would be top 5. JMO of course.

Andrews stats are at the top so Great job Kurt.

Brady had 'near' loses in his 3 SB wins. Yet he is a GOAT candidate. Stop being stupid.

You had a lot of great quarterbacks in the HOF with much worse numbers then Tom (Tom and Peyton have similar numbers, both top 5 all time in most passing categories, only difference is Peyton played longer 1998 vs 2001 when Tom came in) that never even made it to the Superbowl, and some great QBs with only one ring that will be in the Hall so this statement alone is stupid.. How can he not be a GOAT Candidate?  I hate fans that use ignorance and stupidity towards hatred of a player not recognizing their greatness.. For example, I can't stand Kurt Warner but I'm not going to disregard that he is one of the best quarterbacks of all time.  Look at Tom's passer ratings in the last two superbowls that he won.. (not to mention he has been to two more) both over 93 rating and at least 2 TDs, and 250 yards against two great defenses (CAR 03, PHI 04).. and his clutch performance in the first SB.. strategically marching his team down field.. IN THE CLUTCH like he has done so often.. I hate haters.. makes me not want to discuss football because with haters you can't talk or debate because of lack of logic

You clearly did not understand my point. And I have no intention of clarifying. Over.

I don't think anyone here has an issue with that.  ;)

All favoritism aside let's just sit back and let Luck rack up his numbers and it appears judging from his performance so his numbers will surpass many if not all of the greats. Don't lose sight of his ability to take a hit and stay in the games. You can't build on your numbers when you are sidelined on the bench for however many games. After Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck what the heck can Colt fans expect 20 years from now, a guy from Metropolis with the ability to leap buildings in a single bound? Yeah, its a good feeling, a real good feeling.

    • Once again, Latu just pops on the screen.  I know it’s just a drill, but compared to Ebukam…his movements and techniques are more fluid and crisp, and hes quicker.   https://youtube.com/shorts/k5W6CFq5ReQ?si=7DLSO-G0Gqt-5R6a
    • He's not signed, there is nothing else to talk about and I am bored.
    • Yes, I know. The Stanford teams  when Hogan was the starting QB were full of top recruits on offense and defense. It was so much fun being a fan then. I'm not as big a fan of Stanford as you are. Being on the East Coast makes it hard to follow them as much as I used to.   Overall, I am becoming less and less interested in sports. For over 20 years, I used to listen to sports radio whenever I had free time.  I used to follow tennis, golf, baseball, college basketball, a little NBA and NHL as well as NFL and college football. I once went to 20+ baseball games in a year.  The only sport I still follow religiously now is NFL football. I try to follow my favorite baseball team, the Mets, but not enough. I attribute my loss of interest to there being too much change and movement of players, coaches, teams, conferences, etc. Stanford is now part of the ACC! My goodness! (Shaking my head) I don't like all these changes in conferences.   I was a big fan of Ted Leyland, Stanford's former athletic director many years ago. It saddened me when Leyland left Stanford to go to the University of Pacific which was his alma mater. I see he retired. He hired Buddy Teevens who died last year. Back in those days, I followed Stanford football a lot more closely. They were not great years but I loved rooting for players who also excelled in the classroom.   TL;DR 😉
    • Oh I think they are ready. They are right in the thick of it. Well educated and smart women. They are more in tune with the Indianapolis Colts than all of the new ownership in the league is with their respective franchises. I'm not concerned in the least with these ladies taking over moving forward. I think it's a great thing and speaks to the stability that the organization is preaching and looking to build.
