I don't fully blame Fitzpatrick for the loss. The offensive line isn't great and the tight ends are awful.

How they keep trotting Newton out there at RT I will never know. Steelers were in the backfield all night, at this pace Fitzpatrick is gonna go down and Mallett will have no choice but to play, and that will be ugly too. Plus we are turnover machines like you mentioned lol so there's that too.
