At the moment, there aren't many positives to point to. Subtract a few Richardson heave balls, and this team is mostly garbage.

Anybody that knows me know that I am not a hater I bleed blue. I see potential but he not good enough yet to carry this team on his back -
IDK, your viewpoint is definitely legitimate. I just never understood Wink's candidacy. Ballard doesn't like 3-4 defense, he made that clear. Wink is a 3-4 guy, and even though there's a lot of nickel now, there are still different responsibilities and different linemen, even in sub packages. So you're presumably interested in this HC candidate because of the success he's had running his defense, but you're going to consider hiring him even though you have different defensive philosophies? Okay, fine. But you want him to change his approach, which is presumably the reason you're interested in the first place? That seems crazy to me. I just don't get why they would be interested in him, and interview him twice, if they weren't open to his defensive scheme. Maybe Wink just said that because it sounded better than 'they decided they liked the other guy more than me.' Maybe he didn't feel like complaining about how hard it is for defensive guys to get HC jobs.

I haven’t been happy with Shane’s decision making and play calling lately, but I do hope we play well enough that he stays next season. If Richardson is to be successful, he at least needs offensive continuity with his coaches. Ballard and Gus can go if that’s what fate has designed (though I see Chris here until at least after 2025).
