You mean run the ball?  That's what we did on Sunday towards the end that worked so well.  That's what people have been pleading with us to get away from the past few weeks in the first quarter.  Honestly, Sunday we did just about everything the forum has been calling for us to do, we came out passing, we benched McGlynn, and we played Rogers and the offense still struggled till late in the game when they ran the ball and then people were complaining we should have been running the ball earlier after weeks of saying we needed to throw the ball more.

Unfortunately we have used this stone-aged formation quite a few times this year... that drive was the first time I really saw it be effective.

 

The 49'ers run the same formation very well, but I still think it is too one dimensional to use with any regularity.

We used that in the 2nd half just a couple games ago over and over to make Brown look like an All-Pro.

Havili missed the next game and it all died.

Pep had some Great stuff out of lining up Cherilus beside Castonzo. Doyle & Havili tore it up with awesome blocking.

I totally agree he is/was overrated but he hasnt been completely useless. He is probably our best pas blocker. Next season I like the rotation of Ballard, TRich and Brown.
