He really really needs a look with the first unit.  For a team that needs help at pass rush he is making it really hard for the Colts to cut him.

Caesar is the next coming of Ted Hendricks for the Colts.  Same height, although Rayford is much heavier.   Boy he has strong hands.  He gets that hand on a QB and goodbye.

Other then Luck and T.Y Rayford has been the best player this preseason. He beat Joe Thomas who's the best LT in the league for a sack. His size and quickness is too much for offensive tackles to handle.

Some guys have the athleticism, but no moves, and suck as pass rushers. Other guys have the athleticism and no moves, but still get to the quarterback. It's funny how that works.

 

If he can learn one swim move, or one club move, or learn how to bull rush, he would be a really good stand-up pass rusher.

Well...   you make a good point, that Rayford is 27....

 

Still....    he's a kid on the football field....   he hasn't played that much high level football.    He's a raw prospect....   and he's got little if any NFL experience beyond what we're giving him.

 

So.....   in a manner of speaking,  he's a kid on some level....

Haven't seen him play at all this pre season but i look at the box score after the game when i wake up (later time in Uk) and it just says he keeps getting sacks. I hope we decide to keep him, would be a bad decision if we didn't.
