the number isnt retired so he can wear it. you got vaughn wearing 32. mike hart wore 32. you have lee ziemba wearing 63. they wanted to give collie 88. its not a big deal.

I agree if it was retired and they got it out of retirement for him then I would be upset

Freeney and James are NOT HOFers....

So who cares who wears "their" digits?

Unless you were silly enough to buy a jersey with another mans name on your back?

Customize your jerseys kids.......   with YOUR NAME.

Who cares...it's a number.

Freeney isn't a HOFer? 100+ sacks and 2nd all time in forced fumbles. Sounds like HOF #'s to me.

The All Time Sack list is long......................

real long..     I have been through this argument a thousand times...

just look at the stats....

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/sacks_career.htm

Heck Kevin Greene has 160 and he was ten times the player DFree was.

Dwight aint gettin in..      anytime soon.

Wold you say that if Curtis Painter were back on the team rocking #18????

Just saying...

One thing I like about Rugby, players wear the number of their position 1-15...

Yes I would...I just don't are what number a player wears. Chandler Harnish can wear 18 for all i care.

Wasn't Walden #93 up in Green Bay? If everyone else got their original numbers (Landry, Toler, Hasselbeck), why can't he have his?

It's really no big deal

Landry, Toler, and 'Beck don't have the same numbers as HOF all time Colts greats.

    • Yeah it’s the going three and out that’s the issue.  That has nothing to do with the defense.  That’s all on the offense.  If the offense could sustain a drive you’d also rest the defense so they aren’t spent by the 4th quarter as they clearly were in the Texans game too.

    • A primary reason Why he needed to be more active in free agency. He has done well throughout his drafts to add contributing NFL roster caliber players, however, there is a mounting lack of true difference makers  on the defensive roster. His stubbornness with overvaluing his own draft picks is getting very old- especially on defense -to your point. I also realize some of these players are being held back by Bradley's simple and tired defense.
