Woah. Some will probably take this the wrong way but I wish our team just said things like "we really won't know the extent of his injury until he rests on it, and we'll go from there."

I figure the doctors laid out the possibilities, that rest could help but that he could very well need surgery. And coaches, Kelly, wanted to wait.

I assume our doctors told the coaches/FO that he could rest it and see if it gets better/worse. Or they could've even told the coaches/FO that surgery was likely but rest could possibly help it and the coaches/FO wanted to wait.

It's not the doctors.  They probably said that he could try rest but would more than likely need surgery.  Of course the team isn't gonna tell us that. With them looking at Zuttah, I knew it was worse than just needing rest.

They tried.  It is also up to Kelly to go under a knife.  Rest might of been what he hoped for to help.  Not everything is just that simple.

Yeah, perhaps. I was thinking it could have been a misdiagnoisis. Sometimes when there is so much swelling right after the injury you can miss things on a scan. Anything that could heal in a "week or two" would not require surgery.

Use our 5-7th round picks on guys that can fill that backup role well.

Backups quickly become starters with this teams injury history. 

the O line has historically been under par in Indy. Luck's health and

longevity of his career shouldn't be in the hands of 5-7 draft picks.

I know every team deals with injuries but I wish we could get through one year where the offensive line could stay healthy and build continuity.

The defense has been terrible too. We have needs everywhere. BPA is the only thing we can do
